.. Was he getting ripped off? Because last I checked, he was always accepting the deals and never negotiating. So, that's kind of on him.

btw, The Colorado Avalanche are putting Erik Johnson, Bobby Ryan, and John Persson OTB. Looking for a changeup, I'm not going to blow them off for picks and prospects.

The Lundqvist deal was pretty bad.

Well, yeah, but if I put Bobby Ryan up, and you offer me a 2nd, and I accept it, whose fault is that? He was selling his assets willy nilly - moving Lundqvist for nothing but asking me for two 1sts for Frolik. He wasn't being taken advantage of. He was just exceptionally poor at managing his assets.

Well there's a reason everyone wants to get in touch with him because it's easy to win a trade with him.

It's ok I just got home from work. Tonight is the sim so Trav do the sim whenever my lines are set.

Tomorrow is the draft so the sim will be tonight.

Good luck in the finals!

Can... we just sim right now? I know we tend not to early, but we could trim down a day here, I think

The Washington Capitals beat Detroit in 5 games to win their 3rd Stanley Cup in franchise history.

I haven't looked yet but I'm sure Pouliot won the Conn Smythe.

His numbers were ridiculous.

I'd like to thank Detroit for their great playoff run. Your team will learn from this experience and come back stronger next year

Rumour has it that 2 two-time Stanley Cup winners might be on their way out of Washington heading just north of DC

Funny how Pouliot cleans house in the awards yet he doesn't win the Calder.....

Backstrom missed the first 2 rounds and he still wins the Conn Smythe, that is also strange. He must of dominated the last round.

This game is really stupid with figuring out who rookies are.

The Washington Capitals would like to congratulate Pouliot on his tremendous rookie season. We had high hopes for Pouliot but exceeded our expectations. We'd like to thank Lundqvist for his great mentorship; he was a big reason why Pouliot has turned out as good as he is.

Glad to see Keith and Plekanec are going to stick around for at least another year But very very dissapointed to see Girardi retire at 34 or 35 with 3 years left on his contract

Also some Notable developments:

Kassian 75 > 81 will be signing his ELC this offseason
Cowen 83 > 85
Ellis 82 > 84
Scuderi 80 > 81 expected more as a 4.5 star but I'll take it
Lemmon 75 > 81

I've got myself a log jam of wingers between 79 and 83 and am looking to move one or two I have:
Okposo 82
Johanssen 83
Lemmon 81
Toffoli 80
Frk 79
Morin 80
Kassian 81

Looking to move anyone listed there other then Kassian to either move up in the draft, a bottom pairing D man of same value or Package with a pick to get an upgrade. let me know if you are interested

Price 88->90

Gargusha 76->81
Teravainen 77->80
Pakarinen 81->82
Subban 86->87

Suter 88->87
Leddy 85->83

Everything else pretty much the same.

The Capitals would like to acknowledge the career of Dan Girardi. He was a great player, a great teammate, and a great man. You will not be forgotten here in DC.

Here is something even dumber.

Backstrom had 3 points in 11 playoff games and he wins the Conn Smythe.....

Pouliot had a 1.51 GAA and a 942 save % with 4 shutouts

How the hell does that happen?
