The Washington Capitals would like to announce that Brendan Gaunce has been promoted to the leadership group of this team and will be donning the vacant A. His personal growth over the last few years has been a huge for our organization and he will carry on joining Ovie and Backstrom as leaders in our dressing room.

The Colorado Avalanche are pleased to welcome Cam Barker, Cal Clutterbuck and Troy Brouwer to the team. We believe they will be key contributors to the Avalanches 2nd Stanley Cup victory.

One of the bigger trade deadlines in awhile. Quite the deadline, I shall say.

No one but you knows how to get a hold of the Islanders.

Same thing goes with Tampa and Chicago, only he seems to trade with Tampa as none of us know how to contact him

The Washington Capitals would like to welcome Alvin Pitton to our organization. We jumped at the opportunity to land this big young kid. We gave up a lot because we feel he is worth the investment. We look forward to good things to come for many years down the road.

We'd also love to welcome Clarke MacArthur to our team, his work ethic will play a valuable role for us during the playoffs slotting in the lineup where ever he is needed.

Last but not least we welcome Joseph Morrow to our blue line, we feel depth on the blueline is extremely important and his offensive skills will come in handy along with his very palatable contract. We'd also like to announce that Morrow has already scored his first Washington Capitals goal playing on our 4th line as Ovie and Leetch recover from injury

Also, TB is generally available through PM. A lot of the people who came over from the other league (NYI, CHI, COL, TBL, VAN, MIN and I guess LAK is gone) all used to do our negotiations through Skype, they're not forum regulars so it might just be more a case of not having the time to come to the forums 12 times a day to check the back and forth. Whenever I deal with them, it's through Skype, but if I pm them I tend not to hear for a day or two. So, IDK. Send them offers thru the game and I guess make sure it's good enough not to haggle back and forth? It's not even just them, some teams are impossible to get ahold of (STL, DAL, NYR, PHI, WPG all come to mind)

Hi guys, Tampa came from our league. He is darkcloud99 on CDC, and was formally introduced to Trav two weeks ago prior to becoming the Bolts new GM.

VAN MIN COL CHI TB are all imports from our SIM league that froze (would no longer let us SIM following season 8)

We all joined Skype in October to be able to do instant messaging/deals and than we added a Trade Wire / Waiver Wire / Chat Thread

If any other GM's would like to join our Skype group to get more continuous interaction with VAN MIN TB COL CHI, please don't hesitate to sign up for a free Skype Account (or a second one) and friend request me via Skype at 'Pure GM'

CDC accounts;

VAN - Vancity_Prime/Nikko
COL - Coleman26 (no introduction needed)
TB - Darkcloud99
MIN - Fates
CHI - Pure GM

EDIT: It should also be noted that these guys listed above are top notch hardcore GM enthusiasts. With Skype you can always see when someone is on or not (as well you can choose to be offline), all we asked from day one is that our GM's make it a habit to check in daily to see their PM's and or Chat Thread updates. The speed of negotiating a deal in real time is the major draw here, it truly brings the real life GM text messaging at the pre draft and trade deadline into full swing, so suffice to say, things really hum along, can only imagine how much the trade talks would heat up with 25-30 GM's as we were only at 14. (note we don't do calls only Skype texting, so privacy or late night booty [trade] calls are not an issue). For me the PM'ing in CDC works fine as well, as the iPhone is ideal for this, Skype is only a tad more real time and easier to manage individual trade histories within ones GM phone book. (Skype should really be paying me for this plug their getting, ha)

Before Skype 'friend requesting' us at 'Pure GM,' perhaps Trav might prefer to start a new Skype account for the CDC League. This can simply be an option for the League, as it wouldn't be a problem to get VAN MIN TB COL CHI to sign up to a new Skype group.in what was discussed above. I leave it now to the League and it's membership to discuss.

So, double sim @ 8 and then playoff push, I guess?

Brouwer, Clutterbuck and Barker to make their debut, Harding is in net, vs Vancouver.

This Hedman kid seems very good. 2nd shift, Clutterbuck gets bombed coming around death valley behind the net. Avs PP out of it. Toews scores! His 30th of the year, from Pacrioretty and Larsson! Bobby Ryan takes a charging penalty, but more importantly, my entire top PK line is kept out on the 6 on 5 for 4 minutes. omg. Brayden Schenn strips an exhausted Graovac and puts it top shelf, 1-1 game. 10 seconds left in the period, Barker blocks a shot with his face, goes to Tochkin, it's a 2-1 game going into Intermission. Gary Jones puts in his 20th of the year a few minutes in, Vancouver is all over Harding and they'll be leaving him out to dry if this gets ugly. An ugly hitting from behind penalty from Gagne and Colorado goes on their second power play. Green to Pacioretty to Toews off to the side and it's a 3-2 game with 8 left in the 2nd. Less than a minute later, Galiev passes off to Persson who finds Bailey in almost the same spot, and we're tied! We're at the halfway point of the 3rd, no penalties, no scoring. Hedman is preposterous sometimes. We go to OT, Toews stick breaks as he's looking at an empty net and Gagner gets it in OT for Vancouver. 4-3

FLA and CGY, if you get a chance today. Holler. I want to try out a few new line combos. And if you wait until I'm online, you can have Harding and a few AHLers on top lines, otherwise it's Quick and my A-Team.

The Buffalo Sabres would like to thank Christian, Nick, Joe, Jordan, Fedor, and Dan for what they've all done for this organization, no matter how long or little they've been here. We would like to welcome the multitude of players we are bringing in, and think they can help us in the future.

Not a shabby proposal I must say...

Well, my last class finishes at 4:20 PST then it takes about 30-40min to drive home depending on traffic, then I gotta grab a snack then I can watch our game. So at whatever time that is :)

Calgary is pleased to welcome Hamhuis to the team. his leadership and experience will be huge for us come playoff time. Too bad that adding him lead to the dissapearing of Frk Even tho I have near 4 mill in cap, but we should have the depth to cover for that

As we found out when I acquired Hamhuis you need to add up the 1 way contracts and that can't be over the salary cap. The discounted cap for injuries and for games played doesn't matter

No I meant in this league not the NHL record

I did look it up though, the Washington Capitals are tied for 2nd for the most consecutive Stanley cup final appearances with 5 tying the Canadiens.
