Multiple Warning Signs Surrounding Zack Kassian

King of the ES

Is there any teams fans that b*tch and moan about their team's prospects as much as Canucks fans? I mean holy crap.

So many people on here call our top prospects busts throughout their development. Then they make the NHL, and play well, and people b*tch when we trade them away.

It's really quite mind boggling.

Yeah,35 year old players that cost 2 picks and a prospect that have no desire to stay more than an hour after the season ends is infinitely more valuable than Cody ever was.

Pahlsson scored twice in 19 regular season games and headed for the airport as soon as the final buzzer sounded.

Ever heard the term "rental player"? Probably not as you only hear what you want to.

We didn't trade Hodgson for Pahlsson so there's little point in comparing their value in relation to each other. Pahlsson was brought in to make the 3rd line a shutdown line and free up the second line to play a more offensive role. A concept that you simply don't get. Somebody has to play the shutdown role and it wasn't going to be Hodgson. Is it better to have your second line in an offensive role or your third line?

Two fourth round picks and a 24 year old prospect (who is waiver eligible) that's playing in the highly touted east coast league 5 years after he was drafted and still yet to play an NHL game. That's a pretty cheap price for a rental player. Nashville gave up a 1st rounder for pending UFA Gaustad with no guarantee of him re-signing.

Sure there are but there's no website that lets it happen as much and as frequently as CDC.

Kassian played great tonight! Vancouver wants him to be physical. They want a team player out of Kassian. The PIM catergory is nothing to be worried about. We need someone who is willing to take a run and people, and willing to drop the gloves. Kassian is still very young, just because he wasn't lighting it up in the AHL is no reason to call a BUST. Look at Hodgson when he didn't make the team one year everyone thought he was going to be a BUST. But he is not. We'll see after the end of this 48 game season how Kassian does.

I hope Kassian is fighting for the spot in Canucks top six forward and not as an enforcer. It makes no sense for Kassian to fight a 4th line guy at take himself out in the last minutes of a tie game.

It does, 1. Edmonton just scored the crowd will be out of it Edmonton will have some momentium going.

2. With Kassian fighting he can get the crowd and his team right back in it.

3. Kassian knows he hit Hall after the whistle one of their stars, so he manned up to fight Ben Eager.
