NuckNuckNucks
I doubt you've been to TO or Montreal. Vancouver's night life is a joke. They cancelled fireworks at Canada place this year for NYE without a notice and many people were standing out in the cold for 20 minutes just to see some fireworks. Vancouver's only saving grace is the fireworks festival in the summer to display that it is a major world class city. Otherwise everyone just sits in their home and looks at the threads on CDC. Electro Rock
I'm there 2 dozen times a year. Maybe not Montreal (Especially Old Montreal) but TO is the dumping grounds for Canada's garbage.
Pouria
Vancouver offers a lot of opportunity for going outside and getting exercise, instead of CDC'ing. It sure beats the hell out of drinking and partying too. Leads to a fitter and better looking populace.

Jägermeister
Toronto gets a lot of everything, but the Lower Mainland is more like the dumping ground of Canada seeing as it's thee magnet for drug addicts, street people and other undesirables, as well as a lot of "Hill Have Eyes" types and exploitative and corrupt immigrants. Jägermeister
Ah, I guess that was a good guess. Its also Vancouver, which in the days before the immigration floodgates opened didn't see much of an outside influence until the mid '60s when a subculture known as the "hippies" brought it with them up from San Francisco, and the locals RAN with it. Electro Rock
Ah, I guess that was a good guess. Would it be fair to say you just don't like cities along the West Coast because the people seem to be more liberal?
Jägermeister
I've also lived in Seattle and L.A. and like the West Coast well enough, though its not as good as it used to be. What I don't like is how fixated with the '70s counterculture era Vancouver still is to this day, sorry but its time to move on.
Electro Rock
Fair enough. Though, for the most part, most of the more extreme "counterculture" groups in Vancouver are all comprised of the same group of people who never seem to have anything better to do, and their actions always seem to get far more attention than they should warrant. Many people, like myself, get fed up with them most of the time.
