Dammit we lose. Wolves have got to capitalize and prevent those late 3rd period goals.

It seems that this is a popular trend with the Wolves. Just S*^@ the bed late in games.

I say give Cannata another try in net against Grand Rapids on Saturday. I'd really like to see what he can do against the Red Wings' talented farm team (Nyquist, Tatar, Smith etc.).

man i get sick of these kind of games and they happen A LOT. they get run over in the third consistantly. In the late minutes of games it seems like their opponents shift to the next gear and the players or arniel just don't adjust. I'd like to see arniel send a squad out in the third thats playing to win, not to not lose.

Schroeder deserves Ebbett's spot. He's the one constantly making things happen out there offensively and that's what 1st line centres do; they consistently create offense for the team.

I know there are not a ton of Rodin fans around these parts but his skill is undeniable and he seems to have some chemistry with Schroeder. I wouldn't mind them as the top line LW/C combo and the veterans used as supplementary players on the 2nd and 3rd lines. When all healthy, this is what I would like to see:

Rodin - Schroeder - Kassian <----Talented line of Canucks prospects who would benefit from prime responsibilities on the top line.
Sterling - Ebbett - Haydar <---- Don't do enough as a top line but they do work together so it's an adequate 2nd line.
Archibald - Longpre - Gordon <---- Solid two way line with scoring touch.
Miller - Pinizzotto - Desbiens <---- Grinder line. 'Nuff said.

What do you guys think?

Sweatt?

Sweatt?

Oops, my bad. Sub him in for Miller, although I'm pretty sure Arniel wouldn't have a Canucks prospect in over one of the Wolves' stalwart veterans.

Arniel needs to go. The team has been terrible, and he isn't helping the team out.

Same old s#!t, just a different game... Wolves in a huge need of a coaching change. A man behind the bench MUST load the roster with young and hungry for game Canucks prospects to let them develop into players and not AHL 4th line plugs. When everyone is healthy why not to try kind of:
Rodin - Schroeder - Kassian
Sweatt - Longpre - Gordon
Archibald - Friesen - Mallet
and put the vets to 4th line duties with possible scoring
Def should be:
Tanev - Connauton
Andersson - Sauve
3rd - anybody with little time
And while Lack is injured, give Cannata to play! He can't be just worse than that Climie plug.

I really start to affraid to meet offensive power-house teams with loads of tallent like Grand Rapids and Oklahoma.

Schroeder!! That's what happens when he shoots.

Wicked shot!

Rodin and Tanev with the helpers.

Sounds like I'm eating Crow > I was a Schroeder doubter pre-season.

Playing on an average (being generous) team, with a bad coach and he's still putting up the effort and finding ways to display skills that get results.

Go Schroeder! :towel:

I keep saying it but I think Schroeder is trying to beat Ebbett out of a spot. They're neck and neck again in this game.

Get our prospects out of here!

Man I miss Mac T right about now.

MacT was crap DN.
I watched Wolves all last season and MacT's tactics, systems were garbage , the only difference was he had Mancari, Haydar in form and some decent defenders........Oh and Schroeder played with Sweatt, always.

"He can't be just worse than that Climie plug

Have you been watching the damn games?

Climie, since he took over from Lack (who was leaking goals like a sieve) has been the reason we have not been utterly embarrassed on the score sheets. Our defence is garbage. That includes Tanev AND Connauton. Connauton is a defensive nightmare. Tanev stumbles around like he doesn't know what day it is. The alternatives are hardly any better.

The D is not helped by offensive lines who skate about like headless chickens giving away turnovers like they were going out of fashion and making hideously misdirected passes. They are totally inept in front of goal and that includes Schroeder and Haydar.

These are basically very good players getting ruined by a lack of ANY kind of system.

Climie had a poor game..........but only by his standards. I've lost count of the games we wouldn't even be in it if he hadn't stood on his head. Even last night, what the hell was that when when we conspired to give them a one on one on our PP? Our defence sucks, Tanev and Connauton are both poor. Arneil is a fecking nightmare.

Why do they not up their tempo AFTER they score, instead of dropping into lala land and sleep walking.

Every damn time. Then ONCE THEY HAVE LOST A TIE OR GO AHEAD GOAL, they decide to up the tempo. Is it too much for Arneil to devise a line to ensure they keep the opposition out right after we score?

Well to be fair, he did help the team win a division title with a team that had less depth than the one Arniel has.

It's up to the coach to get his players motivated, and put a system in place that helps them succeed. Right now Arniel hasn't done that.

When I say I miss Mac T, I was making a point that Arniel is so bad that it's making me miss him. Our farm team needs a better coahc then both of them really.
