Jones first. It'd be hard to pass on a potential franchise defenceman. He's got all the tools.

Mackinnon and Drouin will go 2 / 3, I think... Drouin #2... Mackinnon #3.

Jones. He's like Dustin Byfuglien but with less fat and a whole lot more talent.

Drouin would go first in my opinion.

But a lot can happen between now and draft day.

Depends on the team. Someone like Edmonton would pick Jones, but I think most teams would pick Mackinnon.

Mackinnon has not impressed me at all in the world juniors so I'd have to say Seth Jones.

Based on world juniors I'd almost take drouin, jones didn't impressa me much so far in the tournament(I do think he might be the best player in the draft though).. That being said Schroeder looked better than drouin in the world juniors and we see the size dilemma with him.

It's a tough call but I'm going to go with the majority of analysts and say mackinnon.

I'm going to quit watching hockey if edm gets a top 3 pick this year and gets jones

Kind of hard to judge from the WJCs because Mackinnon got barely any ice time.

Was watching hockey central at noon and chl analyst says you didn't get chance to see it in wjc but mackinnon is something else on the moose heads. He was pretty sure he was the number 1 but jones was close.

Well I'm hoping Columbus wins the lottery, simply because they could use a 1st overall pick to help bring their franchise up off of the ground. I'd say if this happens, they take Jones. American D-Man to play with Ryan Murray in the future, giving them a great top two D to build around.

If they do I see them taking mackinnon. They're going to want some star power up front after losing Nash.

He's been playing on the 4th line, so that kind of makes it hard to impress although he's actually played pretty well. Jones looked good in the USA's last two games but MacKinnon will still go first. History has shown the high rated forward almost alway's get picked before the Dman (ie: Stamkos/Doughty and Tavares/Hedman). Drouin I think will go third but could end up being the best player from this draft, he kind of reminds me of Duchene a few years ago who was overshowed in Jr. playing with Hodgson like Drouin is with MacKinnon.

Jones is the best player in this draft. He is a generational talent and possibly the best American born hockey player ever. He's going to be an elite level defense man in the NHL and will be a Norris trophy winner by the time he is 25.

Canucks will go with Mackinon, I think with their lockout lottery pick. The draft Jones with the Luongo trade pick.

@TSNBobMcKenzie
NHL Central Scouting ranks Seth Jones No. 1 at mid-term. Nate MacKinnon is 2, Jonathan Drouin is 3, Sean Monahan is 4, Hunter Shinkaruk is 5
