Squeak
No thank you to Connolly. ... and where did you get the $64 M cap
CanucksFanMike
Your cap number is definitely wrong... you should check that. As for the deal.... It isn't bad value wise but we need to clear cap space by trading Luongo and getting connoly back doesn't acheive that

elvis15
So you expect another high cap hit team like Toronto to take 5.33 without losing any cap? That doesn't make any sense.
Zoolander
I'd prefer Kadri over Connolly, and I think Toronto would be willing to part with Kadri as well. Other than that, I'd be happy with this trade.
Jägermeister
I'd do it. Connolly, the oft injured, would be a good playmaking fit with Kes on the PP. Biggs will be a good 4th liner at the very least, but that being said I can't see Burke giving him up, he loves guys that play like Biggs. Franson would be a good addition to our D and give us the depth we need to shop around Ballard if needed. I'm not too sure TO would go for it though. Smashian Kassian
I wouldn't do it. Franson sucks (Tanev is better), Connolly is overpaid and underpreforming, Biggs is the one piece I like but even he is just a good prospect (likely a 2nd/3rd liner) nothing spectacular I also don't like that we give up Rodin. Another thing that get's me, you basicly swap Raymond and Ballard for Franson and Connolly (In terms of cap: 4.2 and 2.1 for 2 and 4.7) and say that it improves our cap situations, honestly I would rather have Ballard & Raymond than Franson and Connolly myself. Disaronno
People need to understand Luongo is a star (with value) regardless of his long term contract. If Toronto wants to dump bad contracts for an elite goaltender, they can do it somewhere else.
Smashian Kassian
Connoly> Raymond only thing better is raymonds cap hit and that still bad) Franson> Ballard Franson is 25 years old 6'5 and 215 pounds and a BC boy and has way better playoff stats then ballard. I'd rather have Franson as my 5th defenceman especially against Boston and La Bigga and Kassian together
Ossi Vaananen
I read reasonable, so I was optimistic that this might be worth viewing .... and then I read Shawn Antoski ... and I'm like eff that noise.
oldnews
If Toronto wants to move Connolly or Komisarek, they'll have to give the Rangers a call and inquire about Redden.

DeltaSwede
I think a potential deal with the maple leafs will involve MacArthur and Gardiner (read that Burke was not willing to give up Gardiner but management were) MacArthur makes sense and would likely be a pretty good fit on a line with Kesler with his play making skills.
