Whose gonna back up CS now? :frantic:

I know, I had slight panic when I heard that. Hip surgery for a goalie isn't the greatest.

He was being very diplomatic about not pointing fingers but you could tell he wanted the hell out of there. He said they weren't playing great defense but in a way that didn't blame his teammates so much as coaching failures.

Tanman said something other than the PC? That's strange in itself. Hopefully he gets the heck out of there soon and plays w/ Nucks.

Sign Dan Ellis, he's having a great year for a guy who's only on an AHL contract.

Yeah man. It's odd to hear Tanev be anything but level-headed. Definitely a sign in and of itself.

Archibald, Kassian, and Schroeder all a -2.

It's because the d behind them can't respond to GR's transition and keep losing their man, not that Shredder and Kass aren't back checking hard.

We need a big 3rd period, down 3-1. Climie better sniff some salts during the intermission, he seems to be on standby.

Just looking at Wolves stat pages and noticed Connauton and Rodin (and tanev) have incredibly low shooting %. They've had some bad luck this yr.

Tyson Giuriato @TysonGiuriato

#Canucks prospect Alexandre Mallet with a big game tonight, scores one goal and adds three assists in the @KalamazooWings 7-3 win.

Is CDC running painfully slow for anyone else this evening, or just me?

Super slow right now, not just the above posters...

I know, I had slight panic when I heard that. Hip surgery for a goalie isn't the greatest.

Neither is knee surgery, but Jacob Markstromm is still a top ranked goalie outside the NHL despite injuries to both his knees last season.

Ebbett scores off a blast of a one-timer! Chalk up another PP goal for the Wolves. I believe Sterling and Hunt will pick up assists.

If there is one positive that has surfaced lately with this team, it's that the PP seems to be heating up.

Crap. 3-1. Cannata needs to be out there but our coach hasn't the sense to play him.

Our coach doesn't have the sense to make any necessary changes.

I haven't seen that Tanev interview but I hope he was poking at the coaching aswell, it would be nice to know that the best player on the team can see what all the fans see.

Schroeder actually gets credit for the tying goal, a tip-in off a big Mark Matheson shot. Matheson and Kassian pick up assists.

3-3.

The Griffins get a bench minor for too many men on the ice. Wolves to the PP to end the 3rd!

God I'm just happy Wolves get a point. They have been playing well. This crowd has kept them far more energized than previous games.

Given the form the Wolves PP is in at the moment, you have to think they should make something happen in a 4 on 3 situation when OT starts.

Schroeder-Kassian down low and Haydar-Connauton at the point to start the 4 on 3.

He was pretty obviously making a reference to the coaching staff. Listening to Baumgartner talk about coaching during the 2nd Intermission was enlightening as well. Really showed just how bumbling the organization is. His answers were quite defensive, as though he felt the need to justify himself and shift responsibility for the team's issues.

End of OT. Shootout coming up. Don't really like the Wolves' chances in this situation and that's not necessarily a slight on them, but rather an acknowledgment of the Griffins' top end skill they have the luxury of putting out.

It's enough that the Wolves came back to tie this thing in the 3rd and that Kassian and Schroeder scored 2 of the 3 goals. I'm content.

Double post.

Anyway, Griffins take the shootout and the game. I reiterate, though, it was still a solid effort by the Wolves to come back in the 3rd.

Cannata needs to start. I know two weak games don't negate the incredible run Climie has been on the last little while, but he's started a ton of games anyway so Cannata should really be getting a few more opportunities in net here.
