The higher salary cap next year as insisted by the NHLPA might be a good thing for the Canucks trying to unload Luongo and/or Ballard's contracts. I expect both to be traded this season.

It's a great thing for us, and if we trade Luongo for prospecst/future assets I think we can keep Ballard and Booth aswell as sign Eddie at a reasonable deal if we make the right moves.

Alot of teams are gonna hit the ground running, so the Canucks can't ease into the season this time around.

Our depth is going to be important here so we don't have to rush guys like Kesler and Edler back.

Schroeder and Tanev better be ready to play some big minutes, cause we're gonna need them.

What did they just say? Variance 35% and 50% in the last year? I'm tired, so may have heard that wrong....

What we know:

- It's 10 years, opt out at 8 year mark
- Cap hit for 13/14 season is 64.3m
- Pension issues have been resolved

What needs to be confirmed:
- Contract length and variance limit
- Amnesty buyout options
- Salary cap tradeable?

Variance is 35%

Contract Length is 7 for UFA's and 8 for your own players.

Yea, I'm most interested in the salary cap trade rules. That could be big for the Canucks.

It could help facilitate some trades for us big time.

I DON'T CARE! I am just so happy to watch the Canucks... I hope they have developed some chemistry with Garrison, since they have all been working out together....

I bet you Gillis comes out of the gate swinging... He probably spent the whole lockout putting together proposals and plans a-z for a bunch of different scenarios.

Wonder if the Canucks are going to pull Tanev, Kassian etc etc from the Wolves game in 10 hrs. Hopefully they do, cause with Cauncks luck a few of them would get injured during play.

I wonder when Gamecenter Live will be accepting subscriptions.

I don't know why I'm so happy (but I am) it's back to staying up (waking up) at One/Two in the morning to watch the live games over here. Thank goodness I'm retired.
Can we now make this a Stanley year as we will have never been so fresh? It will be a dog fight though.

I'm not forgiving the NHL. But for me, I can seperate the NHL and the Canucks.

The Canucks are more than just a group of players or owners. The team will always represent something pure and special to me no matter how much owners and players fight and piss us off.

Does that mean they'll be getting any money from me? Hell no.
