The Calgary Flames Thread - 12/13 Edition

This loss was completely on Kipper. Couldn't stop a beach ball tonight and has been quite dreadful from game 1 of the season. His footwork is atrocious right now and he is absolutely struggling with tracking the puck especially through traffic. I thought that save for a few defensive lapses, the team in front of him played quite well and minimized the number of quality scoring chances quite well. That plus 3 goals scored should have resulted in a win.

Kipper, get your head in the game! Here's hoping that Irving starts the next game so that Kipper can get some strong practices in before his next game rather than just running maintenance drills. He is easily their weak point right now by a WIDE margin and it is unacceptable.

Hitching all of your hopes on a 35-year-old winger and a 36 year-old goalie is not necessarily wise. Especially when the same guys couldn't get you in the playoffs the past few years, when they were younger.

If Kipper and Iggy make noticeable declines this season, Calgary will have blown two of their best chances for a quick rebuild.

Ray Emery has really grown up. He is nothing like that cocky, irresponsible young man that played for Ottawa and Philly.

He was nothing short of absolutely spectacular.

Emery's a UFA next year Flames fans....looks like he can play goal.
