Oilers will make the playoffs, their top 6 is crazy. Yakupov on the 2nd line, don't forget he was putting up better numbers then Ovi in the KHL.

Hall-RNH-Eberle

Hemsky-Gagner-Yakupov

Smyth-Hartikainen-Horcoff

Belanger-Jones-Eager

Hordi

Smid-J.Schultz

Whitney-N. Schultz

Peckham-Potter

Sutton

Petry

Dubynk

Khabi

(I don't know their lineup very well)

Detroit will miss the playoffs. They started slow last season and now don't have Lidstrom for the first time in over 2 decades. Still one of the deepest forward units, but their defence is shocking now.

Edmonton will make the playoffs, and quite easily. Schultz, Eberle, Hall and RNH were all well above a point-per-game in the AHL which is almost guaranteed success in the NHL considering most of them already have NHL experience, and Yakupov was playing great in the KHL against even tougher opposition. Their youth is what gives them a big advantage in a shortened, more intense season if they can survive the many injuries that come along with a condensed schedule.

1. canucks (because of division)

2. chicago (again division)

3. dallas (underrated, and again division)

4. st.louis (low scoring team, losing arnotts 34 pts and defensive responsibiklity is a bigger deal than people think.)

5. LA (kopitar probably wont start season, quick may still be hurt)

6. nashville (a boring winner)

7. san jose (good enough to stay in it)

8. detroit (the mighty havent fallen that far... yet)

9. minnesota (miss playoffs in last two games of the year)

10. phoenix (west is just too good this year)

11..anaheim (should have made changes last year)

12. colorado (still better than edmonton)

13. edmonton (devan dubnyk... are you serious??? even tampa trusting lindback as no. 1 isnt that dumb)

14. calgary (poor iggy... if anyone deserves a cup its him)

15. columbus (better than with nash but...)

hmmm looking back at this list i am sure to take some flak.... but hey its my list, everyone else gets theirs

9. Minnesota

10. Edmonton

11. Nashville

12. Dallas

13. Calgary

14. Anaheim
