I'm well aware of what bozak and grabo are, Bozak doesn't have the defensive game to play 3rd line center and doesn't have the offensive game to play 2nd line center on the Canucks so what happens when Kes comes back?. Sounds like AV's new Ballard. Grabo is great but when I say doesn't make sense I think of both teams, the Leafs are absolutely boned if they trade him. Frattin is a Gillis player that I like quite a bit, but you're right who knows what you'll get. It just makes sense to me to hear his name mentioned, the rest doesn't make sense especially this bozak rumor. Not good enough, needs to be much more than Frattin and a 2nd or 3rd coming our way.
The Kulikov thing is just my own personal fantasy, Florida has no reason to move him though they could and not lose a step. Unlike trading a forward, especially weiss who they'd miss dearly.
I don't know if they'd miss him dearly,
Not nearly as much as the Leafs would miss Grabo....who is my own personal preference on who we should get, even though you're right...the Leafs can't afford to give him away.
Weiss however, will be a UFA this Summer so his value is lower, and the Panthers have Huberdeau,Mueller,Matthias and Goc as well. Even if the Panthers aren't sure how they'll do without Weiss....what's the harm in bombing a season and drafting high. Bjugstad and Huberdeau both will probably make the team next year...why not get a winger for them in this year's draft.
To VAN- Weiss,Skille, and Clemmenson ***conditional 1st/2nd rd pick if Weiss doesn't sign
To FLA- Luongo, 3rd rd pick
That would make sense to me. Rounds out our bottom 6 with Skille so Kassian, or someone else can make a push for a top 6 spot, and once Kesler comes back, we'd have probably the best Centre-core in the league, or atleast top 5.
Barring a few minor trades/upgrades for depth defence, that's one amazing, cup-contending line-up
