Chris for mascot
I'm just wondering with all the Luongo is going here or there talk. Who is available in the back up goal tender market right now? I've herd Dan Ellis's name tossed around, but is he the best guy out there right now? Can you guys offer up some more interesting names?

Smashian Kassian
Ellis has been good for Charlotte, Lack I think he ready for it but is injured and will be for awhile it seems so we will prob just get someone else and give them that role. Maybe Clemmensen or Theodore, although I'm not a huge fan of either, Ellis would probably be my first choice.
Chris for mascot
what about Roloson? think there is any life left in him? maybe for ballard as a salary dump?

DeNiro
I'd rather have great depth in net, then someone like Bozak. There's no more important position than goaltending, especially in a shortened season when they're going to be playing alot of games in a short amount of time. And every game will be critical. Goaltening will get us farther than a third line center ever will. I say keep Luongo and Schneider if there's no deal that puts us over the top. thehamburglar
Yes, Schnieder. Or Luongo. We have great tandem, let's not trade any of them unless it's a great deal.
Derp...
Be better to keep them until the trade deadline at least as we don't know whats going to happen and with this being the last year of this cap why not have two exceptional goalies for the last time until we reach another high cap ceiling in a decade or so? NuxFan09
I agree with the people saying the Canucks should keep Luongo and roll with the stud tandem again for this half season, However, if Luongo IS dealt then count me on the Dan Ellis for backup bandwagon. The guy was quite solid during the last few seasons behind an ugly Ducks defense so he shouldn't have a problem playing behind Hamhuis/Bieksa/Edler/Garrison in Vancouver. Look at Andrew Raycroft's numbers when he was with the Canucks. If he can succeed, Ellis definitely can. Although we're not a defense-first team, like the Predators or Coyotes, it seems like we are a team on which goaltenders of all levels do well. bossram
If we trade Luongo, I'd take Dan Ellis as a backup. He's put up decent numbers in the AHL right now and has experience handling more games if we need him to.
bctim
Assuming we trade Lou, I'd sign Roloson or Turco to a short term deal.

Down by the River
Barry Brust has not been signed by any NHL team. He set the AHL record for longest shutout streak this year. In 8-9 professional seasons he has only had one where his SV% was under .900 (11 games with the LA Kings). He is under contract with the AHL's Abbotsford Heat. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=55460
