G-52
My dad was listening to rock 101 today and heard them talking about Kesler and how he is at a very exclusive training facility re-learning to skate. It was mentioned that the way he skated, it was very easy to knock him off stride and they are trying to fix that. I've been trying to find a link or anything on the interwebs but cant. Everybody Hates Raymond
This is more suited to Canucks talk mang
G-52
Does it really make a difference? The entire board is the canucks board. This is the trades, rumours and signings thread. This is a rumour about a canuck...
vancanfan
How would they know it would be easy to knock him off stride? Did someone knock him off his skates thus come to this conclusion? lol

Smashian Kassian
Re-learning to skate? Was Raymond invited? I don't see anyreason to worry, he is recovering from some serious injuries, I don't think this will effect him aslong as we give him the proper time to heal. kmotamed
Sounds to me like rehab work after surgeries
CanucksSayEh
?? That sound terrible. Old dogs don't learn new tricks, and if they do, they're gonna suck at everything else while doing it.
James van Riemsdyk
I think it's a good thing Kesler is going back to skating. Skating is one of the main parts of hockey. If you can skate well and get into a scoring position it's going to help no matter what, Skating helps with scoring back checking, fore checking, defense, positioning, and practically everything. RyanKeslord17
I don't understand though. Kesler of all people learning how to skate? He is arguably the best skater on our team aside from Ballard and Booth. Why would Kesler need to learn how to skate? I never saw him get knocked off stride easily. elvis15
Not to be insensitive, but does your dad hear well? He is skating apart from the other players, but because he's only just got back to that part of his rehab. His issue is with his shoulder, and he doesn't need to relearn how to skate, just get his fitness back as he gets his shoulder and wrist back up to speed. Trust me, they aren't doing anything where he might fall and hit his shoulder or wrist, causing a setback. Until you find a link, I'll consider this a joke (on Rock 101's part, perhaps about his diving? they do that).

G-52
Clearly exclusive training camp to re learn skating technique means he is skating to get back into shape..... I don't mean to be insensitive but are you hard of brain cells?
Derp...
well if he is better than he was at skating that would be unreal... just ridiculous if kes gets better

briana
In this shortened season we would have needed him from Day 1 of season.. Do we have a chance to even make the playoffs without him.. Edmonton is becoming a powerhouse..
tas
until edmonton completely rebuilds their back end -- despite rumors to the contrary, justin schultz can't ACTUALLY do it all by himself -- they'll both lead the league in scoring and still miss the playoffs every year.
