Why Vancouver

- Toronto trade fulfills Gillis's needs. 1. depth at center 2. depth at D 3.youth

- Raymond no longer fits team needs, trade him for depth on D

- Ballards cap hit is too high, trade him to a team that needs D

- Arnott proven grizzly veteran needed for the playoffs and while Kesler is out

- Roloson is another proven playoff performer that is needed as an insurance policy in net

Roloson carried the Bolts to the ECF in 2010. He was terrible last year though.

Meh, rather have Ellis.

We overpay in the TO deal, take out Rodin and it is closer but I still don't think it is enough and Tanev is better than Franson (in regards to your line-up)

not a fan of the Ballard deal either doesn't make alot of sense to me. It's Ballard and Raymond for Babchuk, just don't see the improvement there.

I think it's pretty simple at this point. Gillis is now sitting back and waiting to hear offers. Canucks are back in the drivers seat on this one. The deal above is too big. Canucks are trying to add,your trade gives up too much.
