Pears
Thought I would try and change the proposals section up a bit without a goalie trade. So here it is To Toronto: Sean Couturier To Philadelphia: Jake Gardiner, 2013 2nd Both teams may be interested in doing this since it fits needs quite nicely. Toronto gets a true top six center and Philly gets a desperately needed D man. Thoughts?

thad
I wouldn't do it if I was Philly. I think they are higher on him than schenn. I think they could get a better dman than Gardiner for couturier.

Mr. White
MAYBE Philly accepts if you take that 2nd away, but even then they probably wouldn't
billabong
Fun idea and fair value but neither team does it because of the possible reprucussions of dealing away a prized prospect for another and you end up trading away the better player in the end...it would be a story line for years and years It's safer to keep your own prospect and see how he turns out
Danthecanucksfan
Philly already traded Offence for Defence with the JVR and Schenn trade, don't see why they would do it again, especially with Courturier.

elvis15
I'm not sure teams will be in a rush to trade for Gardiner with his current concussion symptoms unless A. he gets better finally, or B. they underpay.
allkill326
I wouldn't trade Couterier, if I were Holmgren.
laxgoalie
I think if Philly got the second along with Gardnier, it would be more fair. Other than that you have the thoughts all there!
allkill326
Philly's already doing well. There's no need for the trade to occur.
James van Riemsdyk
I think Philly would do it, but they already did something similar to this. Luke Schenn- JVR. That's why I think this won't work. Why not just trade all of Toronto's defense for all of Philly's prospects?
