Provost
The tweet that Antropov was not at practice today in Wpg got me thinking how a lineup could shake up if he got moved to Vancouver. Along with another trade to bring us a top 6 forward (I put in Toronto, but it could be any team really) #1 To Wpg: Hansen 3rd Round Pick To Van: Antropov #2 To Tor: Luongo Raymond To Van: Kulemin Kadri We end up with a lineup like this (I just added any backup to the mix): FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Nikolai Kulemin ($2.800m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Nik Antropov ($4.063m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Aaron Volpatti ($0.600m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Manny Malhotra ($2.500m) Andrew Ebbett ($0.600m) / DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Keith Ballard ($4.200m) Alexander Edler ($3.250m) / Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) Chris Tanev ($0.900m) / Cam Barker ($0.700m) GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Tyson Sexsmith ($0.831m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $66,588,056; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $3,611,
Jägermeister
Antropov is not worth his $4.25mil contract. A decent player, but he just wouldn't be worth it.
CanucksFanMike
I wouldn't do the first one.... Hansen is the perfect third liner and Antropov is overpaid The 2nd one is pretty solid but Burkie Nonis says no
da.moose
As a Jets fan I would actually accept that deal. I think that Antropov would be a good veteran player for Vancouver. He is strong, great along the boards, has really good passing and vision on the ice, is creative, etc. However, I am not sure the Canucks would give up on a player like Jannik Hansen that is cheaper, younger, faster, and is integrated into the system. Hansen in my opinion is the Canucks best forward at this point outside of Sedins, Kesler, and Burrows.
G-52
terrible, I was expecting better from you provost
Provost
The update is Antropov was held out because a minor injury was discovered at his medical.... so no impending trade. Is there a centre out there who can fill in on the 2nd line... something better than signing a UFA like Arnott?
ken kaniff
everyone is greatly undervaluing Lu now. kulemin had an awful season last year and kadri hasnt lived up to potential. this is a big NO.
bossram
NEVER trade Hansen for Antropov.
allkill326
It's not bad, but it's not the ideal trade Vancouver would want. If I were MG, I'd rather get draft picks than Kulemin.
