Package him with a prospect, send him to his home state of Minnesota for Backstrom (6 mill cap hit, but his contract is up after the season). The Wild have Harding and Hackett coming up. although Harding's health makes him a huge question mark. Anyways, that's my ideal, even if it isn't a likely outcome. You have a very capable veteran back-up ready to step in in case Schneider falters, then either he walks as UFA or re-signs for much less. Probably walks and Lack becomes back-up in 2013-14.
