-Vintage Canuck-
Good trade for the Oilers. They were pretty weak on the blueline. But is he the answer?
Markus Alexander Cody
Good trade.. Oilers D will improve a bit but they still need to get rid of the overrated Theo Peckham before their D gets any better.
86Viking
good bottom pairing physical dman, who is still fairly young. decent trade for sure.
n00bxQb
Fistric sucks. Good to see them accumulate more garbage defensemen.

Jägermeister
Good trade for Edmonton. Fistric is a good bottom pair D man due to his physicality.
nd84
Brenden Dillon, a former classmate of mine in elementary has a good shot of cracking the roster now. He played the last game of the season for the stars last year and led all D in ice time.

WHL rocks
Oilers' D is weak, they need to shore up the D line. Team looks promising and has a chance to make playoffs.

drdeath
Difference between this and the Canuck signings is that Fistric will actually have to play some decent minutes. In the end he will be seen to "suck" because of this. Whereas our acquisitions of Barker and Vandermeer who more or less do suck, will be fine because their role is to replace Aaron Freakin' Rome. MoneypuckOverlord
Oiler fans are teasing CAncuks inside out with the free agent signing of Cam Barker. Mark Fristric is a garbage player. Waste of potentially a high pick. He is a Edmonton boy, but still. He's worst then Barker. Glad to see them adding useless players. Not sure how Dallas got a 3rd out of this. Steal of a deal for Dallas.
Ilya Mikheyev
IMO Edmonton overpayed a bit, but the UFA options aren't great and they needed to address a need. Fistric isn't a great defenseman, but IMO he is a good bottom pairing-7th defenseman who brings toughness when necessary. Not unlike a slightly better Alberts in Vancouver. He'll be in competition for the 6th spot. And will make the competition a bit harder... so the move isn't all that bad. However, as a Canucks fan I hope the Oilers try a bottom pairing of Sutton and Fistric in their opener and they get stuck on the ice against the Sedins..
