It's not free for the season according to Puck Daddy. The NHL said they have partners and they can't just give it away

Nice deal though. I'm taking it as I'm in Edmonton and I want to watch all Nucks game.

I enjoyed it last year and being walking distance to the BC border frustrates me that I can't get SN Pacific. So this is a close second and a relatively good deal.

Not bad deal but I don't think I can justify buying it.

That include playoffs too?

Doesn't include playoffs no. I called Shaw about it and they didn't have pricing yet but from what I researched it will be between $40-$50. Which is a good deal because it's usually $180 i think. Also, there's a free preview until Jan 31st.

Bull crap. Of course they can give it away. It will be done at the cost of the NHL, and not the partners. B.S. But none the less a good deal.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

I'll take it and run! :towel: Watched virtually every game the last 2 years on Centre Ice.
I was a bit peeved; back in Vancouver for 6 weeks starting late Nov after 4 years away. Obviously missed any game!

$189 Aussie dollars last year, more the year before that...

I am debating between GameCentre and Centre Ice. I have telus optik and their HD is sort of crapty. How is Gamecentre live for streaming? Good quality? I have a great internet connection.

The satellite and cable companies have expenses, and that is why there is a cost to it. But it is only about half price of the regular half season price.

i don't see why people are so eager to jump all over this.

would an hdmi/s-video cable not be more cost-effective while at the same time demonstrating a bit of a monetary protest in response to the lockout?

factored in with local blackouts and no playoffs makes this a bit of a head scratcher for me.

Never had Centre Ice personally, but living with my cousin in Calgary last year, he had it and it was amazing. Coming home from work watching each and every playoff game, it was amazing.

I'm contemplating getting it, because that's a great price.

Thread title should be chaged to Gamecentre, not Centre Ice...

Novus has Centre Ice as $37.50/month for 2 months, or a flat fee of $75.00. I would imagine Telus and Bell would be the same.

NHL Gamecentre through nhl.com is $50.

I will be splitting my time between Calgary/Edmonton this year, if you had a choice, would you pick GameCentre or Centre Ice?

I've had Center Ice the past two seasons through Shaw and both times they gave me a free Gamecenter Live promo code for those seasons. I love having both CI and GCL. But be aware that GCL stream is always a few minutes behind the live game while CI is "live."

It doesn't seem like Shaw will give out the GCL promo code with the CI purchase this season.

I had it the first but not the second year (last season). How did you receive it last year? E-mail? Invoice?

Last season I complained because the free GCL promo code was included in their website ad on the Shaw website advertising CI package but they took the GCL part off their advertisement soon after.

I just ordered CI tonight and asked about the GCL code for this season but they said they don't have that arrangement with the NHL anymore. Doubt we will see Shaw offer the free GCL code again unfortunately.

Just ordered it. $49.99 less 15% if you are with Shaw Friends.

Does anyone have it? Are all screens still black?

I PVRd the Pittsburgh/Philly game last night and when I went to check my pvr it shows as recording it starting at 12 but the info for the game is not there...only the place holder for center ice. Did they remove that game because NBC is showing it in the east?
