sign Gomez and Redden

We need depth, we need a center, these guys hav a point to prove, hav made they're paycheck for the year, could sign relitivly cheap, and could definatly help in the situation the nucks are in for injuries....

Redden is definatly better than barker and the captain of his ahl team, ha sbeen playing this year allready...

gomez is definatly an upgrade at center over ebbitt/schroeder/lappy...

could be a win win for sure without much risk, or trading an asset to acuire a player that could fill one of those rolls.

What u think?

Both guys may be motivated to get back at it; if just to finish of their careers with some self respect.

Gotta think Gomez could help us at centre.

I've always liked Redden, too.

If the price is right you could do worse than a couple of talented vets that have fallen from grace.

Of course, they're still raking in the dough, which caused them to take their foot of the gas in the first place.

Gomez would be a good backup plan if he is cheap. You've gotta think things just weren't working out for him in Montreal. I have a hard time believing his skills would drop off that quickly.

As for Redden, there's no way we get him. Too many teams out there need D right now, so he'll likely end up getting at least a couple mil if not more.

Actually, Gomez for < 1 mil would be a low risk play imo. Did he lose his skill or did he lose his confidence under the weight of his enormous contract? I bet there is a team that will try to find out.

With the way our forward situation is, particularly for playmaking centers, you have to think Gillis will at least kick the tires.

Stay in school, kids.

Someone will offer Redden more than what we want to, possibly with Gomez too. Perhaps we get Gomez on a cheap deal because he wants to be here more than anywhere else (he played with the Surrey Eagles, closest to Alaska where he grew up, we're a contender) but there are a few teams that will ask about him once he's cleared.
