To PHI-

G- Roberto Luongo

RW-Matt Read (Gritty 2-way forward who fills a top 6 hole)

C-Brayden Schenn (plays 2nd line Centre while Kes is out, and 3rd line upon Kesler's return)

You forgot Burrows on the line up with Booth and Kes ;) Other than that I'd be down to do it.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

I was just going to suggest something similar, but I doubt Philly gives up both Schenn and Read.

If the Flyers are interested, I could see something like:

Luongo+Raymond+Sauve

for

Schenn/Couturier(depending on who they want to give)+Grossman

They buy-out Bryz, upgrade by getting Lu.
Raymond fills in their top-9, is an immediate replacement for Couts/Schenn.
Sauve gives them a decent D prospect in a prospect pool lacking one.

Canucks get an amazing prospect in Schenn/Couts who can fill in our top-9 now.
Get Grossman who it is rumoured Gillis wants. He is a solid #4/5 shutdown d man.

If they can't afford to give up a d man(Grossman) without getting an NHL ready one back, either offer Ballard (cap problems for Philly though?) or (reluctant to do this) offer Tanev and a pick and try to get Read back as well. (Instead of Sauve)

Overall, I like your proposal, but I'm not sure the Flyers would do it.

I like this a lot. But I'm not sure if Philly would be down. Probably one of the best proposals out of all of CDC(which sadly isn't saying much)

Thank you, I wasn't sure how people thought of Raymond's trade value. His value is kinda hard to gauge, because his poor seasons could be because of injuries, and he's healthy now.

I was just going to suggest something similar, but I doubt Philly gives up both Schenn and Read.

If the Flyers are interested, I could see something like:

Luongo+Raymond+Sauve

Couturier has way more value/upside than Schenn does right now, but both would fill a 3rd line spot nicely here in Van. Couturier won't be traded which is why I chose Schenn.

For those questioning whether or not Philly would accept this, we could also add a D-man or pick to add to Philly's 2 weakest areas.....their prospect pool and defence.
Example:

To Philly: G-Roberto Luongo
Lw-Mason Raymond
2nd rd pick 2013 ( will probably be a late, 2nd rounder but this is a very deep draft. Every pick could pan out)

To VAN- Matt Read, and Brayden Schenn
