oldnews
Pass. And this means nothing regarding a Luongo or any other trade imo. "It is what it is" - people are just too itchy to conclude that it means something other than the Leafs doing spring cleaning. I highly doubt Kadri was ever a target of Gillis anyhow, and it doesn't preclude other moves by the Leafs - it's actually a good precursor. Ilya Mikheyev
As a huge fanboy from his Buffalo days, I would really like to see him here, and he isn't that far removed from those days (1 1/2 years). However, his play has been pretty bad with Toronto - but who's isn't lately? Unfortunately his FULL cap hit would be a little high to take a risk on for the Canucks. I wonder if after waivers, if he passes, the Canucks could work out a Lombardi like deal = cond. 4th round pick that turns into a 3rd if he re-signs... and 2 million off his salary. WHL rocks
Canucks won't claim him. Cap hit too high.
DeNiro
Ben Kuzma @benkuzma Luongo to Leafs losing steam with Toronto making roster room for Kadri after putting Connolly on waivers and expecting more from Bozak.

The-Impersonator
Laffs have Bozak at 1C and Kadri at 3C - they're not gonna give us those 2 and no centers left.....well it is the laffs. I still say Lu ends up in Philly or Florida.

D-Money
Contract too expensive. And you can't simply hide a player/cap hit in the minors anymore, either.
Dragonfruits
im sure kadri gets a chance to crack the roster but from what i have heard during hockeycentral and prime time sports with bob mccowan carlyle doesn't seem to be very high on kadri said something along the lines yes he is gifted offensively but needs work on his defensive game

DeNiro
I can see it now. The Leafs tank and finish dead last, but because of the new lottery system they get a pick outside the top 5 and draft another Kadri type player that ends up being a bust... oldnews
What happened to Lombardi's and Connolly's game in Toronto ought to have UFAs lining up to go there haha! Not just a goalie graveyard!! You can add: forwards prospects defensemen GMs and coaches to that list hahahaha!

elvis15
DarrenDreger For clarification, the Leafs don't intend on buying out Connolly. If he clears he will very likely be assigned to the Marlies. #TSN Just in case anyone was still thinking this is a buyout, it's not, just regular waivers. Provost
Impossible to drop more than one spot. So if Leafs finished last, they'd at worst pick 2nd.
