Guess there goes Joslin. Wouldn't mind seeing if Veillieux has something left in him.

That's a lot of waivers. Nothing much there though. Curious who's going to back up Kipper though, with both Irving and Karlsson being sent down (and since the Heat have Brust and Taylor already).

Henrik Karlsson to back Schneider. More because he's tall and swedish than because he's a better option than another goalie

A lot of D options there that I think are better than Barker/Vandermeer.

Bob McKenzie@TSNBobMcKenzie
Karlsson/Irving battling for backup job in CGY. Could go either way so CGY puts both on waivers so either can be demoted if they clear.

We we should pickup Santorelli, would be an upgrade on Ebbett/Schroeder IMO, solid 2way game and scored 20 goals not too long ago, probably the best option avaliable to us ATM.

Looks like Feaster is pushing both through waivers so that they can wait until the last moment to pick the backup because they won't have to worry about needing to put the loser through waivers. Still, it would be hilarious if they both got picked up on waivers... just imagine the fun then :)

Why did MG sign Barker and Vandermeer with all these options? (Van Der Gulik, Pardy)...anyways...

To fill some holes and depth I'd bring in Karlsson (big goalie, technically sound) if we're getting rid of Lui, and Nick Palmieri? Wasn't he a highly touted draft pick (USA Juniors) or was that Kyle? If it's the highly touted one, grab him for prospects.

Glad to see Joslin is on waivers - useless player. Think Baron meets Murzyn.

Santorelli... interesting went from a .5 PPG to a 11 points/60 point player last two years.. From Vancouver. 27, right-handed shot who can play center.. Has been successful at pretty much every level except for last year. Not too tiny either (aka Sterling), he's 6'0/190, pretty average.

Wonder if he'd be a good depth player. Hmm..

You're thinking Mark Santorelli, this is Mike. They are about the same size though, Mike's 6' and 190, Mark's 6'1" 185.

Hilarious that Calgary waives both their backups. I doubt they'll be claimed, but that would be so awesome if they were.

Nick Johnson would be a decent pick-up. He was nick-named the "best waiver claim ever" and had a strong first half of the season. He is similar in a lot of ways to Jannick Hansen. Finished 7th on the Wild in scoring (6th in ESP). Played against fairly tough competition and started 42% of the time in the offensive zone.

"he grew quickly into a fan favorite, played hard nosed hockey, being responsible, and putting in a few points here and there."

Ferriero and Santorelli will get picked up I think.

Santorelli's been waived before (last year) and no one had any interest in him then either. I doubt it's changed much, but you never know.

 Feaster is the worst GM in the league ...

Well, we'll have to see how Nonis dropping vet centers to give his young guys a chance (and not pursuing Luongo as a result) works out this year. I agree Feaster hasn't exactly been excellent in Calgary though.

And yet they still put him on waivers. I don't think we have an issue in our bottom 6, so not sure why we'd go for him.
