Makes sense.

He deserved to come to camp and 'experience' it again, but with 9 NHL D already signed, he wasn't staying

It was expected that he would be sent back, question is: will he attend tonight's scrimmage?

He's in the lineup. They've already started the waiver process for Joslin and Gordon to go back to the Wolves, but they're going to use them (at least Joslin) in the scrimmage as well since they don't clear until tomorrow. Frankie probably already knows he's gone after the scrimmage so will be ready to go on the next flight.

Not surprised at all.

Although he looked good in practice, he was a mino swimming amongst sharks in yesterday's scrimmage.

IMO if he had performed well he would still be with the team. Nevertheless a terrific experience for Corrado.

Exactly! He has made great improvement over the last couple years. Not too much longer until he will be wearing blue and green on our point.

With the shortened training camp it's hard for young players to earn a roster spot by making an impression to management.
I just hope he gets a legitimate shot to make our team in the future. Love it when our drafted players make the NHL!

Agreed. Gillis should be fired for this one and AV publicly flogged.

development and patience luxuries this franchise can afford unlike some of our rivals.
he's better off getting lots of ice time with the rangers anyway.
in few years he should be a solid d-man

^This.

Particularly since he was traded to the Rangers and will factor in playoffs, that's his best development right now. Unless he was stellar at camp, he was always going to be headed back considering all the other options we have and that it'd burn a year off his contract just to play for half a year.

We can still look to use him after the Rangers are out.

I'm glad to see that he get invited in the first place. A good reward for his hard work this season.

Because he's not eligible to. He either plays in the NHL, or gets sent back to his Junior team until he becomes old enough to no longer qualify for the CHL.

For the best, he needs to be getting tons of icetime, he wouldn't get it in the NHL this season.
