-Vintage Canuck-
@TSNBobMcKenzie Alexei Kovalev's one-year contract with FLA is worth $1M plus some GP bonuses. Signing today, will be on 23-man roster.
Ilya Mikheyev
Awesome. Glad the guy is still in the league and not with the Canucks. Love watching him play when he feels like it, but would get to frustrated when he didn't feel like it if he was a Nuck.

Monty
As a Jets fan, I actually get excited when Washington, Carolina, Florida, and Tampa Bay improve their rosters. This is the time for the Jets to tank and stock up on draft picks. They are guaranteed sellouts for the first 3-5 years, so finishing last in their division is a good idea; and although Kovalev is only a shadow of his former self, he is still someone to keep your eye on. With the additions that Carolina made this season, as well as the Caps with Robiero, I see the Jets fighting it out for last place in their conference with the Lightning. Their goaltending is a huge question mark. They will either destroy teams with their offense, or tank because of questionable goaltending.

frazzY
In before "LUONGO, RAYMOND FOR KOVALEV, GUDBRANSON AT THE DEADLINE"!!! Lol he would be a good rental player for the playoffs though, good motivation for him, one last crack at the cup... Lol Edit: never mind, just read that he won the cup before... 94, on the rangers
etsen3
Not a fan of the move for Florida. 1 goal in 22 KHL games last year, 2 goals in 20 games with the Pens the year before. Not to mention his lazy reputation.

D-Money
3 points in his first game. Already showing chemistry with Huberdeau. So far, so good for Florida!

Canuck Surfer
I would really have enjoyed Kovalev had we had the foresight (and ability, maybe he has a partner in S Beach?) to give him a shot. Could have really made a difference as a passer for either a Kesler line or as an option with the Sedin's!
