come on think about it this is to.meet the roster limit. it just temporary as 23 is the max

Didn't we do this a ccouple years ago when we had Lack and someone else in the line-up in order to be cap compliant, then we used LITR and recalled Schneider before the first game?

Also, if this isn't the case and I am out to lunch this is a load of BS. I know AV said they would start a veteren line-up due to the shortened season but if you're not going to give your young guys a chance to play they are nevere going to be able to show you anything.

... .. . Why do we even bother drafting we should just trade our picks, who knows what happens at the practices but based on the scrimmages Schroeder should be on this team. I just dont understand how we have a prospect that played well enough to make this team yet we cut him for experience (and not alot of it). this is the perfect time to get one of our young players some playing tim a taste of the NHL. Hell if anything Kassian should have been cut over Schroeder.

This 'cap' thing is bullsh*t, as Kesler and Booth are both on the IR that's a prorated 9.5m free'd up. There is room for JS, both as 13th forward and as under the cap.

It was mentioned in the other thread on this topic, but Schroeder's performance bonuses would count against next year's cap, which is obviously an issue. If it's true, Gilman is just doing his job here.
