I mostly agree with you but I think we should give Raymond a chance of the 2nd like for a couple games, he looked great in camp. Throw Ebbett on the 3rd line.

Sedin - Sedin - Kass
Raymond - Higgins - Burr
Ebbett - Lappy - Hansen

I doubt the line up will be either of those. Higgins hasn't played centre once this entire camp.

We'll find out soon enough, but I predict the opening night line up to look like this.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Raymond - Ebbett - Kassian
Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen
Volpatti - Malhotra - Weise

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Garrison - Edler
Ballard - Tanev

Schneider
Luongo

I personally would love to have seen Schroeder over Ebbett on that 2nd line, although it makes perfect sense as to why they sent him down. I would also love to see Kassian with the Sedins for a decent stretch of games. Burrows legitimizes that 2nd line a bit as well.

If Higgins can play centre I think the whole line-up looks much better. I get nervous when I see Ebbett's name on the 2nd. He could be a decent 3rd liner for us but not at all good enough for the top 6. I was not able to watch the training camp, so maybe Ebbett impressed and is good enough for the top 6, but from what I have seen from him in the past he is not ready.

It will definitely be a tough start to this season.

Sedin - Sedin - Kass
Raymond - Higgins - Burr
Ebbett - Lappy - Hansen

definitely this. They will go with the lines that played together at camp to begin with. AV will get happy feet and mix things up after while though im sure.

I really hope Schroeder gets to play with Raymond and Kassian. Not only did they look good in the 2nd scrimmage game, Schroeder seems to be a good at making passes into space, and that's what on-form Raymond can create.

Kassian is a big body and can ruin a D's day, so he needs to make up for Raymond and Schroeder's lack of size.

Our 4th line is gonna be awful... Malhotra centering Volpatti and Weise.....

Why the heck was Schroeder sent down? He had some chemisty with Raymond and Kassian then gets sent down? am i the only one seeing something wrong with that logic?

I think you have to put burrows on the 2nd, can't put all the eggs in one basket.

Sedins-kassian
Higgins-Ebbet-Burrows

The best possible top 6 combo right now IMO. All other combos i've seen have a massive drop off from the 1st to 2nd line. Also a little disappointed to see Ebbet over Schroeder. Never been impressed with Ebbet ever, this is just a typical AV move favouring the defensive player over the offensive player.

Really all we have to do is just stay in the race until Kesler and booth return than you have

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Kesler Booth
Higgins Lappy Hansen
Ebbett Malholtra Kassian

Not a bad looking line up we just need to stay close until they return

If yesterday was any indication of how Raymond, and Kassian play together,

I have hope in our 2nd line........I'd like to see JS get called up for this weekend though, if we can somehow manage to get down to the right # of players.

Raymond - Ebbett - Kassian
Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen
Volpatti - Malhotra - Weise

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Garrison - Edler
Ballard - Tanev

Schneider

That looks pretty accurate to me. And when Kesler and Booth are both back it would probably look like this:

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Raymond - Kesler - Booth
Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen
Kassian - Malhotra - Weise

Ebbett gets sent down and somehow Raymond plays like he should be able to. To start the season he is the most veteran guy on the second line. I would like to think that now that he's healthy and older he decides to step up his game in his line-mates absence. He's becoming a veteran on this team. The optimist in me believes the flashes that we saw during the two scrimmages are a sign that this might come true.

I think there is a very good chance you could see Schroeder this weekend if you are in the state of Texas. Probably wont make it in time for tonights game, but tomorrow in Houston you should be able to see him.

Because Higgins is a reliable player, either as a 2nd line goal scorer or a 3rd line grinder with offensive upside.

I suppose the logic is that they (as usual) prefer to keep some balance between the lines instead of heavy loading the top 1 or 2.

You are correct vintage..

I wish the lineup was this though:

I put kassian on the first to help the sedins create space and havoc, but most importantly this gives kassian two world class players to learn from and gives kassian one of the largest security blankets defensively you could ask for.

Similarly with the second line I have schroed being flanked by burrows and raymond, two very good defensive specialists.

3rd and 4th are golden!

sedin sedin kassian
Raymond schroed burrows
higgins lappy hansen
volpatti malhotra weise

same D

hammer juice
garrison edler
ballard tanev
