Gollumpus
You gotta believe that GMMG has got some sort of plan, and that he and his team know their cap situation better than anyone.

B_a_M
So I guess Gillis is still on thin ice. Another nice signing from Gillis, I am happy to see Edler stick around for another 6 years. He is only getting better and better every year.
WHL rocks
I always said Edler not going anywhere. He's a Canuck for life. Future Norris winner. Great deal. $5 mill per year is a good deal for Canucks, he'll look like a huge bargain in a couple of years. Already is a bargain actually. Could have easily gotten $6+ mill as UFA in the summer. cdubuya
Once Ballard is gone and we get one more great winger to play with Booth and Kes I think our team is set for the next 3 seasons. Hopefully Lu can land that forward or Kassian develops rapidly. Id be fine to keep Mayray and Hansen as a chippy speedy 3rd line. This signing really gives us a balanced d corps and flexibility to focus on getting elite scoring help to go on a cup run.

gizmo2337
This feels very much like many of the other GMMG signings. Pretty fair for both sides, reasonable. You could call it a small discount, but it is also to avoid a pile of uncertainty, moving, and new situation that might not pan out during or after free agency, not to mention the stress. This goes to show players are at least happy enough to stay here. Fewer (quality) players are leaving to FA lately. This is a fair and reasonable signing for both sides the way I see it
Pyrene
I wonder what happened to all those people that wanted to trade Edler? Said something about Edler probably "leaving for Detriot".
WHL rocks
Great deal. Clearly took less to stay. I love the mentatility our players have. We're very lucky to have these guys constantly re-signing at less than market value.

disisdayear
What a great signing...top 4 of back end is firmly entrenched. Gotta love how MG uses social media to get the story out directly to the fans and bypasses the minions like Botchford, Gallagher, Pap, McIntyre, etc. to reach the fans.
