King of the ES
And Hodgson is too much a prima donna. Kassian just puts his head down (figuratively, not literally) and plays hard
Jägermeister
I feel like some people have some unresolved abandonment issues.
**Pavel4Life**
Cody Hodgson? Oh, you mean the kid that didn't want to play in Vancouver?
surtur
i hope Kassian has a big year so you donk's can shut up about this kid who wanted Rk17's spot with out earning it
spliced
Kopitar would have been even better. Although that wasn't Gillis' fault
Master Mind
I agree. I thought I was in a time warp. As we see more and and more of Kassian, I like this trade better and better. Kassian is a year younger than Hodgson and a year of development makes a big difference at this age. To me, Kassian's trajectory looks at least as good as Hodgson's. Guys who are big, physical players AND who have a high offensive skill level AND who play responsible defence are gold and there are not many of them. Kassian looks like he will be one of them. And Hodgson is too much a prima donna. Kassian just puts his head down (figuratively, not literally) and plays hard without whining about where he plays, how much he plays, etc. I like this trade, even if it means a month or so with a back-up (Ebbett) in the 2C slot in place of Kesler. gumshoe242
Oh get over it... Hodgson was moved to the Sabres... he is NOT a Canuck anymore.
Mad_Duck
And wouldn't Hodgson have been snivelling like a baby about his ice time again when Kesler returned.
UFCanuck
Hodgson's own fault for demanding Kesler's ice time. Now he's on a crap team.
Niloc009
Well, well....Doesn't Kassian look quite nice with Booth's injury!

miles.p
well well...wouldn't we have a stanley cup if we didn't choke in game 7 of the finals.
UFCanuck
Except when he's a healthy scratch in the minor leagues for doing too much floating. Has that ever happened to Cody?
oldnews
I take it you're with Canuck Surfer on this one. OP makes no sense: Why settle for the 2nd line in Vancouver when you can struggle even more trying to prematurely live up to a top line role in Buffalo? Burnsey
" Well, well....Wouldn't Hodgson have looked quite nice with Kesler's injury!" It also would have been nice to draft Zetterberg in 1999 (in the 2nd round after the Sedins).
Common sense
He was a defensive liability. At least Ebbett's more reliable than a guy who resembles a pylon when matched with the big boys.

Brockbuster
Don't think he'd be that effective flying coast to coast to play for two teams. He already has trouble skating
