Rick 2.0
I think our bluelines need to be adjusted a bit, as I saw a couple plays by Tanev where he couldn't move the puck out of the zone, and the Oilers seemed to be able to get by quite easily on the outside perimeter and cut in. It was much better than the Anaheim game, but still needs work. Offensively I think its still a juggling act, but the power play was anemic with too many missed shots (Burrows looked like Raymond of last year a lot... missed shots, flopping all over the place). Luongo played solid, save for the shootout. All-in-all, a good first 20 minutes that just fizzled... This could be a struggle before its a triumph for this team, and naturally some won't have the patience for it, but I'm in no hurry. I've waited this long to see Canucks hockey this year, I can wait a bit more while they sort out chemistry and lines.

cabinessence
Without Lu in net tonight, the Oilers score at least 4 goals tonight and we lose in regulation. The bottom line is the team is still not playing well enough, and we don't have a second line at all. Burrows, Raymond, Higgins, and Ebbett are MIA right now. JasetheCanuck
inability to capitalize on PP and inability to play tighter d and shut down Oiler offence. Can't blame Luu he was spectacular for when it counted, Canucks looking rusty right now and it's not fun to watch
DeNiro
As long as we get progressively better throughout the season that's what matters. We wanna be playing our best hockey in May and June.
Steve Carell
Despite what people say about Kesler's antics (diving, etc), he plays with a ton of heart and we're certainly missing his presence. On a different topic, I noticed Kassian said in the post-game interview that he fought because the arena was dead after the Hemsky goal. Lets face it though, our arena is dead ALL the time. It's really pathetic.

DeNiro
Really? You mean no one else would have been capable of having a better game? Schneider, though he had a bad game, won the starting position for a reason.
Systemaddict
they really need to stop making the players salute the fans after losses. It just looks painful.
DeNiro
Yes but we have to make it there first.

Blackberries
we need a dangler, who can beat people one on one, we don't have a true blue honest sniper like an eberle or a hall... we really lack that.
United Canuck
1 point... better than yesterday. Only one way to go and that's up. Keep at it boys, the next one is ours. Schneids, put those Flames out!

RU SERIOUS
It's Vancouver. The only people who can afford 500 dollar seats are the people with top hats and monocles. The most boring unenthusiastic crowd in the nhl. It's really quite sad.
