Why go down?

Lu probably thought Eberle was going to go around the net (which is what would happen 9 times out of 10) so he was covering the posts.

That's the thing preventing Edler from being an elite dman, he's horrendous 1 vs 1. Luongo made himself as small as possible, which gave Eberle plenty to shoot at. Poor goal to give up so late in the period.

Andrew Ebbett wasn't on the ice, but somehow this is his fault still.

What a goal by Eberle. 2nd time Edler got danced on the right side in this game - I guess he's still getting used to it, but I've noticed Oilers have been working him on that side.

The Canucks youngsters have been setting the tone tonight. Tanev- best d-man out there by far. Kassian - physical and goal. Weise/Volaptti -setting the physical tone.

Best thing about Edler is his offence. He can also be physical. But wow is he ever a slow skater. He got beat by Eberle twice and took a penalty the first time but was beat the second time and Eberle scored. Most of Edler's penalties I would say are hooking or holding penalties that he has to take because of his slow skating.

Why go down?

He covered the side, he just wasn't expecting a sick backhand like that. The height and placement were like perfect. I thought it was sexy. I don't think the Canucks have ever had someone rip a backhand like that and score. Burrows can do it on his deke but it's not the same as that.

Kassian is playing good.
Sedins are playing good.
Ebbet sucks.
Edler looks bad in his own end.
The Canucks aren't hitting enough
Bad goal let in by Luongo although he has playing decent so I won't harp on him yet.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

I think Luongo probably wants that one back, but it's not that horrible of a goal to give up.

Tanev looks way too sick.

Buddy I called this EXACT situtation on here two years ago and was flamed, so I guess I have a bit of hockey knowledge, not to mention the 4 years I played in the OHL idiot.

Kassian needs to play with better players to develop. He's not a 4th line player.
