Edler and Salo had some insane pairing chemistry. I watched the game last night and it's so apparent Garrisson and Edler are not meshing very well. Now it could take some time so I'm not going to tell the Canucks to switch pairings but this isn't looking as good as we thought when we signed the coveted Free Agent.

I like Garrissons shot on the Powerplay but I'm in no way enamored by his defensive game. Hate to say it but Salo might have been the better choice. Cheaper, Experienced, Good Chemistry & Just as good shot if not better than Jason!

Gillis dropped the ball big time not re-upping Sami.

Well obviously. They've only been playing on the same team for ONE game.

Edler/Salo chemistry from playing together over several seasons > Edler/Garrison chemistry from playing together over 1 week.

Are you serious right now? If there was any positive from the game last night, it was how well Garrison and Edler played.

It will take some time and games to build chemistry when this is his first season with the Canucks.

Patience.

I Know Right , Garrison looked fantastic and Edler knows about Garrisons bomb , so d men are weary of that so Edler can just fake it and slap it , it worked great Edler 2 points

but guys cmon 1 game compared to years cmon

stay poitivie .
we play tonight , hopefully we can win

The number of threads where "IT'S ONLY BEEN ONE GAME" is sufficient enough a response to the OP is brutal. I think I might take a break from this place.

Salo was 2nd on the lightning in ice-time last night

Should have watched that game instead of the Canucks gross performance

They've played together for all of.......One. Single. Game. How much chemistry do you expect them to have? They didn't even have a real training camp together. And all-in-all they didn't look that bad compared to some other players.

I thought so as well. Steady, even if he didn't play lights out.

OP, how did Suter (no points and a tripping penalty) or Weber (no points and roughing/fighting penalties) do last night in their first game after Suter left the Preds? How about Sami (no points and a holding penalty) in Tampa?

Yet Edler had a goal and an assist despite a later penalty, and Garrison was just solid. It's one game, the first they've played together.

An even bigger question mark is why didn't we draft Winnik? He's a real special player that makes everyone around him better. A real game breaker that can control the momentum and tempo of the game like nobody else in the league. At 265th overall, how did we let this guy slip through our fingers. No excuses, our drafting sucks

Then why did you say you should have watched that game instead if you were at work????????????????

Anyway. As it has been beaten to death in this thread, it has been 1 freaking game lol. I'm very quickly remembering why I stopped coming to this forum. 90% of it is dumb threads and posts like these.
