yes I get it... the US is the most gun crazy lawless country in the developed world. Vast majority of posters want all guns (except for hunting) banned and accuse people who don't agree with them of being "NRA lovers" or that pro-2nd people want fully automatic weapons sold next to kids lemonade stands across the nation. And on the flip side, anyone that says anything about wanting some kind of new regulations (or at least look into regulations) as wanting every gun taken away from every citizen so the government can then turn this nation into the new "Nazi-Germany" or Soviet Union.

But rather then keep making thread after thread about this shooting or that shooting... just post it here. It saves the rest of us from having to weed thru all the topics on the main page, and really it's a pointless discussion anyways between the same people (I tried once and was dragged across the fires of hell.)

This has already been floated around before, mentioned before and discussed before. Obviously the mods and admin have decided otherwise so this thread is pointless. :picard:

I agree with the OP, have a giant thread containing the shootings, new laws, anti-gunners, pro-gunners.... etc.

If you are having a tough time "weeding thru" all the topics, start reading the titles.

You know, without that mess of a strawman, the pro-gun side really doesn't have much of an argument.

Nobody wants guns outright banned, but strictly regulated and tracked. US has over 200,000 guns stolen every year, the courts have ruled that forcing people to store their guns responsibly is unconstitutional. US sees more gun murders every year than the rest of the western world combined. The only real difference is the amount of guns the average Joe has, every country has crazies, criminals, gangs. The second amendment argument is the most laughable, although the best from a legal standpoint it seems. Just because a piece of paper hundreds of years ago says you can, doesn't mean you should. Like I said, if the constitution prohibited flush toilets that are attached, Americans would have a NOA (National Outhouse Association) that promoted use of outhouses and there would be 60,000,000 half-wits who cling to their outdoor poopers.

because trades don't always have the same argument being done over and over by the same people with the same outcome. Lou for Ovie is totally different than Lou for Crosby.

We should only have 3 threads .. "Good", "Bad" & "Ugly" .. that would be exciting ..

You just countered your own OP argument. What is your point now?

Here's an idea. Maybe if there are less shootings there will be less threads

Of course the pro-gun side on this forum has multiple screen names, tries to derail threads and bury them with other topics, not to mention starting threads complaining about too many other threads.

Let's see ........I'm pretty freaking sure that the threads being posted regarding people being slaughtered with assault rifles/automatic weapons aren't all about the same people, either. Each one is a report of an incident/murder etc all on it's own.

This doesn't really help, but we'll start monitoring gun threads a little more if it makes some of you happy.
