I really like what I see in this kid. He is really talented and so far no other rookie has stand out as much as he has. He has 5 points in 2 games now and each of those points were well earned. I definitely think he will win the Calder trophy this year and and get around 50-60 points for the blues. Last rookies in the first NHL season that averaged a PPG and over were Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin. I think Tarasenko will do so this year. His play reminds me of Malkin. Your thoughts?

He's got phenomenal talent, we'll just have to wait and see how much consistency he can play with.

Lets trade the entire 2012-2013 Vancouver Canucks roster for Tarasenko. He's all we need to be happy.

He's had a couple of years to develop in the KHL, 2010 draft pick. It helps quite a bit as opposed to coming in as a raw rookie.

This kid is going to be great. Smassian is really high on him as am I but I thought he wold be held back in Hitchcock's trap system. So far pretty darn good.

STL has been waiting for this guy and it looks like he was worth the wait.

Ask me again in 5 years. So far he looks like an offensive dynamo though.

I feel the same way. I went with Kreider instead. I regret it already.

Tarasenko looks like he will be a perfect fit with the Blues if he shows consistency.

Got him in both my pools haha.

Tarasenko is sick, Kuznetsov is going to kill it with Ovechkin when he comes over too.

Rookie Of The Year so far IMO.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Tarasenko is older and more developed so I think he'll be better this year and maybe next, but once Yakupovs body fills out I think he's going to be the better player later on, atleast offensively.

I predicted this guy to win the Calder prior to the lockout, no surprise to me he is playing this well, I knew he had it all along.

He's gonna be a superstar I think. I could see him getting 50 or even 60 goals in the coming years. It's only two games so far, but my gut feeling is that he'll be incredible.

Edler, Markstrom, Hansen, 2nd round pick 2014 to Islanders for Ryan Strome, 5th overall pick 2014

This is fairly even as well.

I think Tarasenko is going to a better hockey player. He has the Kovalchuk fight in him. There's heart and leadership in this kid, something that Yakupov is lacking. Tarasenko is committed on playing a two-way game as well.

Ottawa could have drafted Tarasenko, instead they traded the pick for Rundblad i think? I'm always reminded of this, when i think of Tarasenko. Sure, they flipped Rundblad for Turris, but I'd still take Tarasenko.

Didn't know much about this kid, and BAM he comes in with some explosive offensive capablities, yikes. I seen the highlights and went straight to my fantasy teams and picked him up. This kid has some serious mitts & wheels, see the way he scores, he is a natural, going to be fun to watch him, got tix to the Blues game when they come to town. He plays with Steen & Mcdonald on the third line, its pick your poison against this team as they can roll any of their top three lines against you and score, thats pretty intimidating.

He didn't get any points but made some nice plays in that Chicago game. He stopped on a rebound around the net and got a good chance and he also stole a puck off Keith and got a chance. Only 3 games in but so far so good.
