Jordan Schroeder has big red X beside his name on AHL stats page. Usually reserved for guys no longer on roster http://theahl.com/st..._id=-1&confId=0

Been told "probably" Jordan Schroeder gets called up today but nothing official yet.

Guess Schroeder's on his way up.

Flames and Canucks both without a win should be a good matchup Wednesday. Jordan has alot of eyes on him now...

Good, now I hope he scores 2 goals, otherwise he's back in the AHL right after the game.

Hope he is given a chance to play on the 2nd line and not the 4th. Ebbet just doesn't have the right skillset on the 2nd line. Knowing AV, he will likely mix up the second line throughout the game, but I hope to see Raymond Schroeder Kass to start, and then rotate in Weise/Hansen if Raymond is ineffective.

OMG we could've had McKeown!

I think Virtanen was a terrible pick given that he's out for 6 months which will hinder his development. You don't pick someone at #6 under that circumstance, along with the fact that he was given a 3/5 IQ (aka he's dumb).

God dammit Benning. WHY VIRTANEN? Terrible move.

Down by the River - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

Can't ask for a better match up. Flames' changes in the offseason were all about adding skill at the expense of size, toughness, defense or NHL experience.

If he outperforms their savior Sven, checking out CalPuck afterward maybe wortwhile (if you're into that sort of thing). B)

DSedin - HSedin - Burrows
Raymond - Schroeder - Kassian
Higgins - Ebbett - Hansen
Volpatti - Lapierre - Weise

But if Raymond is useless again, move him down to the third line and then bring Higgins to play with Schroeder and Kassian.

So what happens with Malhotra?

...and if Burrows is till shaking off the rust swap him and Kassian again.

DSedin - HSedin - Kassian
Higgins - Schroeder - Burrows
Raymond - Ebbett - Hansen
Volpatti - Lapierre - Weise

I might even swap Ebbett and Lappy too...

Great to hear, no surprise to me but great news, Jordan has worked extremely hard and earned this opportunity, cant wait to see how he does.

My projected Line up:

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Raymond - JS - Burrows
Higgins - Lappy - Hansen
Volpatti - Malhotra - Weise

Schroeder is more than likely replacing Ebbett, and not Malhotra. They were battling it out all camp for that 2nd line centre spot, did everybody forget this?

Do you even watch Lapierre play, you put him under Ebbett, you're dumb

I think it's safer to put your money on a first round draft pick than a fourth line plug.. :)

Then again... that Hodgson Jersey of mine....

What a very insightful argument.

Anyways, I actually feel the positions regarding Ebbett, Lapierre, and Malhotra are somewhat interchangeable. Ebbett was not suited for a 2nd line role, but I feel he could do well on the 3rd line. But then again, Lapierre would also fair well on the 3rd line. So one has to ask who would be on the fourth line? I think that position is much more suited for Lapierre due to the energy and sandpaper he can bring to the table. I don't know about you, but Volpatti-Lapierre-Weise sounds way better than Volpatti-Ebbett-Weise. That's why I have Ebbett over Lapierre. Then there's also Malhotra.. it's hard to determine whether Ebbett or Manny played better than the other, because both were pretty awful to watch. Malhotra is a faceoff specialist, but is that alone enough reason to keep him in the lineup?

I think his future in the NHL is at right wing. But for now we need him at center until Kesler comes back.

I hope he stays at least till Feb 7th. That would mean he's doing good enough to be on the roster a few weeks... and he'll possibly play against the Wild and I can watch him on TV.
