Anybody trashing AV for this move should just think back to the World Junior Championship and who Spott decided to run with. He could have chosen to go with players who earned the right to play but instead played the "who has the best stats" game. AV is rewarding hard work and sending a message at the same time. It's now up to the players to respond.

C'mon guys. Have you seen the last two games. Weise has been noticeable and despite all the unreasonable hate around here Raymond has been one of the better players at gaining the line. AV is just rewarding the players who seem to be conditioned and playing with some motivation. I like Burrows and Higgins way more than I like Weise and Raymond but both those guys have been invisible the last two games. When they start playing better I'm sure they will get second line opportunities. As of right now AV is just playing the hotter hand which I have no problems with.
