Bodee
Huge game for Schneider, this is the first time he's really been designated as an NHL starter and the first time we'll get to see how he bounces back from a bad game. Last season he played 7 in a row and bombed out big time against Nashville, then played the next game against Columbus and got shelled there too. Hopefully he's matured a bit more since then and can put a bad game behind him. If Schneider plays badly against Calgary (3+ goals against) it's not just 2 bad games in a row, it shows us that this guy cannot mentally restart. We need a goalie who doesn't put up 2 bad games in a row - do that in the playoffs and the seasons over. Luongo is probably the best in the league at mentally restarting and posting a great game after a bad game which is why he's so inconsistent, but that's how you win in the post-season. Honestly, a bad game from Schneider against Calgary and MG better hold off on all Luongo trade talks for a while, at least until the kid can prove himself under the pressure of a starting position. InTheCrease
As much as I want to keep Lou, I hope Schneider has a bounce back game. We can't judge either of them after one game each, especially considering some of the lop-sided starts so far for a lot of teams. Biggest issue was the teams in front of them, as usual when we lose. Both made some fantastic saves, but both let in softies.
*vInTaGe*
I have confidence in Schneider. I haven't been able to watch a live game yet this season, but usually I feel very comfortable with him in net.
