Well, it's Canucks talk since we're thinking of how bad the Canucks played in comparison to San Jose.

I just think it's a matter of getting chemistry now. Most guys are slowly starting to play to their potential. It's just chemistry and communication issues/misjudgements on plays.

Dubnyk let in 5 on 15 shots though so not quite as bad as Schneider

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

I agree. SJS is showing just how inept the Edmonton D-zone coverage is. It's like men against boys which... is actually what it is. Shows how bad the Nucks are playing right now.

SJS wouldn't look quite so good without Marleau and Couture, I suppose, but they did have a pretty good 1st period.

And yet the Edmonton media with never talk about a goalie problem, even after a performance like this.

All i can say is sucks that the nucks didn't win but at least Yak and Shultz didn't get there first NHL goals against the nucks everytime i hear an announcer say this player is looking for a career first or high or break a slump etc etc. it always seems to happen against the nucks..
soo soooo glad they didn't get there first goals. in van.

Does nobody get what Gollumpus was trying to say? He's saying that everybody complaining that the Canucks look like they suck when compared to the Sharks because of how both teams played against the Oilers, should remember the we're missing Booth and Kesler. Thus, San Jose wouldn't look so good without Marleau and Couture.

He's not saying that Marleau and Couture are the Sharks' only good players.

Oilers' defense was abysmal in period 1. Yes Dubnyk gave up a lot of goals, but most of those were high percentage plays with lots of time and space for SJ. Even if Dubnyk had made the saves on some of those, SJ would have had more chances anyway. I think Edmonton was only able to get back into the game because SJ took the foot off the gas after goal #6.

I really think the Oilers have the players to succeed, but they need to start playing a better defensive system. Also, their 5 on 5 scoring should be better considering how much speed and skill the team has up front.

I think the factor that has hindered the Oilers the most the past 3 seasons has been coaching. They need to bring in a guy who has worked with young superstars before. I thought for sure they would hire Marc Crawford, he would have been a decent fit. I don't know if this Krueger guy will last until next year.

They remind me of Chicago when Savard/Yawney was coaching them, Young talent, but still missing the playoffs. Once they found Quenneville, things turned around quickly.

Mark my words, it's coaching.

The Shark is an elite team with loads of depth...good that they put the Oliers back into their place.

I still can't believe we actually took the Sharks out in 5 games 2 years ago.

The reason we beat the Sharks now is because we have a better team than them, when the Canucks are firing on all cylinders they can beat anybody.
