AriGold
Detroit has run into some serious defensive problems. Carlo Colaiacovo is out for 4 weeks Ian White is out for 3-4 weeks Jonathan Ericsson has a foot problem Jakub Kindl has a strained groin For Fridays game vs the Wild they leaves them with a potential defense of Kronwall - Quincey Smith - Huskins Lashoff - AHL Defenseman They are having major issues and PK would fix those problems, i'm sure Babcock could mold PK into a good young mature hockey player. Thoughts are Offer Sheet 5 years x 5.5M - Compensation is a 1st, 2nd, 3rd round pick this coming year. Thoughts ?

WHL rocks
This is not the way Detroit Red wings and their GM Ken Holland operate. They will not offer sheet Suban.

susraiders
You should put proposal in the title, because I thought this actually happened.
Fanuck
Your title falsely makes one think this actually happened - it won't.

shazzam
maybe they can work out a trade, doesn't have to be an offersheet
logic
I'm not placing any opinion on the above-mentioned trade offer, but is a DET trade offer allowed on a Canucks forum?

Ilya Mikheyev
I doubt it is in Holland's mind to send an offersheet, but one would think he is talking lots of Bergevin and will be one of the first offering picks and prospects for Subban if there's a chance. SkeeterHansen
Is this a trade? No. Is this Canucks Talk? No. Is a Detroit PK Subban Offer-Sheet Proposal belong on a hockey forum, and in the proposals section? Yes. Are you stupid? Yes.
theminister
I think it's more likely that Detroit moves a piece like Cleary for a d-man under contract. The organization has a wealth of young forwards ready to play in Grand Rapids (some now in Det) and they have solid d-men to add in the next two years with Sproul and Ouellett. 86Viking
id move ballard to detroit as he is a smooth skatin puck moving d man who would probably excel their. Id take one of their propsect forwards like tomas tatar and a draft pick
DownUndaCanuck
Would make sense, they need to get something on their blueline. Plenty of great depth forwards on that team to trade as well, I wouldn't mind moving one of our many depth defencemen for a center.Ballard Ballard and our 1st for Nyquist. If that's not enough, Tanev and a 1st for him. This guy is going to be a star in the NHL, he's a very talented Swedish center and would be the perfect replacement for the Sedins. With all the big bodies we've drafted, we could use a smaller but far more skilled, talent-based guy to become our #1 center.
Jai604
Detroit needs d-men but Holland won't offersheet PK, not his style. He's not Holmgren, lol.
86Viking
Ya i figured nyquist was off the table unless we were to have offered edler before he resigned here. They develop their players so well, they get established in the ahl and arrive in the nhl and usually play well. Im interested to see how nyquist and tatar do as nhlers down the road. Would like to add one of them to our team for sure
