Pears
Ok, my turn for an Oilers proposal: EDM Luongo Raymond (he's always a throw-in in my proposals) Barker (contract throw-in) VAN Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson Teemu Hartikainen (I like this kid A LOT) Jeff Petry (big, right handed d-man) Yann Danis (Backup for Cory) We aren't taking any of their huge young stars, nor do I think they're available. We get a banger and shoot out specialist in Hartikainen, we get a big centre in MPS, and another young right handed d-man in Petry. I think the deal is big enough, that even as a divisional opponent we could consider it.
magoomba
Give it up guys. Trades within one's own division never happens any more.
BCNeil
Dont think the oilers are looking to get back Barker.
bolt
I'm pretty sure Edmonton would be on Luongo's short no trade list. Edmonton has the ugliest city and worst climate in North America along with being the furthest away from Florida. Their team still sucks so don't see it being a viable destination for Luongo. KFBR392
I think a trade with Edmonton is a long shot. They would have to overpay big time, which would be good for us.. But doubtful that they allow that to happen. I have no doubt they've kicked the tires, and maybe even put together an offer.. But unless one of their young stars comes this way, I can't see MG even considering this kind if trade to a division rival.
oldnews
This part of your post sounds exactly like Jason Botchford, makes Booth jokes all the time and it is getting incredibly old.
Ilya Mikheyev
Inter-conference trade 'okay' and team nobody is expecting also adds to my Anaheim gut feeling.

thad
Not a chance. Why would they trade their first overall pick for LOU
canucksnihilist
frack trading luongo for anything less than an equitable player. guess what? the winner of most trades is the team that gets the best player. If we trade Lu for a bunch of crapheads, guess what? we can get a bona-fide star in return, or a bunch of up and coming stars...
zombieksa
Seems Washington can't rely on Neuvirth or Holtby right now.. 3 quick ones from the Habs. I think Washington made a few huge mistakes in the last two offseasons... First unloading Varlomov (albeit for a pretty good return), than trading away Vokoun.
