DeNiro
Of course you say this, because Kassian is a Canuck. If Hodgson was the Canuck here and Kassian wasn't you and all of CDC would be saying I'd rather have a player with skill that can dangle, snipe and celly. WL Canuck Fan
I said when the trade happened, give it time. Still needs time, but I like what Isee.
rkoshack
We don't need to revisit this trade. These two players should never be compared because they are noting alike. Different positions, different styles, different roles. Hodgson will likely out point Kassian in his career because of the position he's in and the role he plays. The point of the trade was to hopefully get the type of player this franchise hasn't had since Bertuzzi in his prime. Will Kassian ever get there? I don't know but if he even gets close to that this will turn out to be a very good trade for Vancouver.
Apricot
^ what he said, the canucks filled a much needed void on their team simple as that. both great young players its time to stop comparing them and let them shine in their own right. CanucksSayEh
The trade crippled our chances at a cup run during our prime. Not acceptable. Gillis goofed on that one. That doesn't mean im gonna hold it against Kass though, hes a boss and could very well be the better player.

stexx
She . Its definitely time to stop comparing them, but its never going to end. 15-20 years from now, Canucks fans are still going to be having this discussion.
Chris for mascot
Still way too early to judge. And I'm sick of the comparison's anyways. Just be happy that he's starting to look like the player we all hoped he could become.

CanucksSayEh
sorry but a ryan kesler shoulder and wrist injury crippled our chances not a rookie 3rd line centre. If you honestly think hodgson could have matched up against mike richards and won that battle in a 7game series i dont even know what to say. Jester13
ATM we have def won this trade. Down the road will obviously give a clearer definitive answer, but right now it's us. The guy concussed Eager in a fight... a fight people! how many fights do we see from our scoring forwards?!!! Helllloooooo, this is what we've been waiting for!!! avelanch
The better Kass does the less it hurts that we gave up cody. Cody will still have a better career, but Kass fits a hole we needed filling for a long time.

Sbriggs
At the start, we were all bashing this claiming that CoHo was gonna be a star and such. Cody currently has 2 goals and is +4. Zack has 2 goals (and a dandy of shootout goal) and is +1. I haven't seen Cody play yet this year, but from what I've seen Zack do for us, I'm really beginning to think we snatched up our Lucic or Brown. IMO, we've won this deal. Thoughts? Tragoedia
How about they both won the deal? Buffalo got the player they wanted, and its now looks like we got the player we wanted. Both teams got good promising players who are going to have great careers with their teams.
avelanch
Why will he have a better career? This kid is gonna have a fantastic career if he keeps this up, and he definitely brings more to the table than Cody does or ever will Imo..
Markus Alexander Cody
I watch as many Sabres games I can and at the moment, Hodgson's doing fine with Buffalo. Playing with Vanek and Pominville? That's great. Looks like he's enjoying his time in Buffalo.
