nickels
Why all the frikin secrecy ??? It's a shoulder/wrist injury, not a concussion for chryst sake. Rather then waving your sticks at Center ice after the game, why not show some some respect to the fans, and give some honest updates as to when we can expect to see him back in line up/skating with team etc. "Sooner than later" is the best you can do ??? He's being paid huge money, much of that coming from the fans ....is an occasional honest update too much to ask ?? How bout something from Kesler....who do you think is paying you 5 million a year ??

timberz21
Gillis said in an interview at the intermission of Saturday's or Sunday's game (dont remember which one), that Kesler what already skating on his own, and he expected him to skate with the team within a week of two. And he said booth shortly after kesler.

canucks_qc
Did you ever had an important injury? You can feel good for 3 days you think you'll be back in few days and the next morning you can feel so much pain, you think you'll never be 100% once again in your life. There is only one thing I want about Kesler, knowing I'll be back on ice when he be at 100% to help our team to win, other than that, I want him to take all the time he think he need. Tom Sestito
Nickels, gillis has said before that they except booth back in a month or so, and kesler shouldn't be too much longer. You can't give an exact date you stupid frack.
Dogbyte
Wow are you dumb. Ever watched hockey before? Every played hockey? Ever had an injury? Ever had surgery? Do you know how to tie your shoes? For the record he will officially be returning to action way sooner than he should be and he will require off season surgery in the summer of 2013. FelixPotvin29
As long as he's not rushed back. Would hate to see him come back a little early and reinjure himself. As for booth, well he will probably get hurt with something else once he's back anyway.

ThaBestPlaceOnEarth
They shouldn't even let Kes come back until like two weeks before playoffs.
ahf149
Hey OP. First of all, its not about us as fans. They have the right to protect their asset. They dont owe us anything. Also, they dont want it to be public knowledge, for the other teams in the league. Some teams will go after a player who has a specific injury (why they dont say anything in the playoffs)

Forsy
1. It is not your $5M. You pay for an entertainment service, but the company who provides that service is the one who is paying Kesler's salary. 2. Why is it important to know to an accurate (not exact extent) about when Kesler is going to return? We all want to know, or at least have an idea of when he could possibly return, but you're Demanding an answer .Why not just accept that he will be back when he is ready to return? 3. The return date is unpredictable, as Gillis made the mistake of stating return dates last year and got egg on his face when it was a mistaken date. You preach the desire for honesty, but you Already Assume that they are guilty of secrecy and dishonesty. How do you know they aren't stating the fact that they cannot predict these things? 4. Even if they are being secretive - stating exact return dates for injured players will weaken your trading position - critical when we're trying to deal with the Luongo issue. There would have to be a special reason to knowingly give out that information on a top player of your team when it is not necessary, and that everyone has been given an expected time table already anyway. This ridiculous demand, not desire, for greater accuracy is mind boggling. This thread stinks of self-entitlement.
