Tokasmoka
Hated it, game 4 of the regular season and it was a tying goal. Get real, I love celly's as much as the next guy but come on it was a game tying goal. Way over the top. You bet a coach, GM or the captain had a word with him after the game. Crimson-JH
Hah, at least it was a first goal against the Kings... Instead of against us from the last game! Nobody wants a #1 Draft pick rookie score his first goal against them and it will end up all over on NHL.com

Bruce Boudreau
Nothing wrong with it. He plays with a hunger to score that is Ovechkin like. Speaking of Ovechkin he just doesn't look as explosive as he used to be in the past. Don't know if that's wearing down physically. Or just losing his desire. Or perhaps he doesn't work hard enough in the off season. Ever since 2010 he seems like he has plateaued.

Stihlman65
With how badly the Oilers were getting dicked by the refs in that game, scoring a tying goal (that counted) with that little time left totally called for a ridiculous celebration. Green Building
I don't believe that this thread has enough ground to stand on for much longer. Drdeath is right; under the circumstances he had every right to be that excited. If he does it after scoring in the first period of a game, or if the Oilers ever have a 5 goal lead late in the 3rd, then that would be an entirely different story. As a hockey fan in general, I was watching the game when he scored, and I was genuinely happy for the guy.
RAMBUTANS
Why are you guys even giving this clown the satisfaction of posting here? The topic will clearly get locked, and this troll will have accomplished his goal by making you believe this is something worth talking about. Bruce Boudreau
He's off the roids. There's no way he can lose that much speed and power in his skating and shot that fast imo. Seems like ever since the Caps got accused for steroids Ovi and the team started going downhill...

Tortorella's Rant
Who the hell cares. I'm just glad this will be off TSN and Sportsnet in a few days. It's pissing me off.

Tortorella's Rant
That sounds like an intersting theory. Any links to that stuff? I'd like to learn more. Apparently you care then.
Johnny Shotgun
Just another Russian hot dog. Once he establishes himself in Edmonton as a top notch player he'll morph into a moody/sulky Russian demanding to escape Edmonton for more rubles. VancouverCanucksRock
Sure, selfish celebrations are fine. I mean, he did go Coast To Coast on that goal.....It was ALL HIM BABY........AND it was the Stabnley Cup winning goal, too!!! Obviouslly it is understandable!!! Ghostsof1915
What is the NHL? The NFL? If a guy wants to celebrate a goal, so be it. Just be able to accept the consequences if a defender staples him into the boards after it. I have a bigger issue with guys being hit by a clean body check and then his teammate goes in to drop the gloves over it.
