Glad to see Raymond proving me wrong way to go kid

JS also made a very nice saucer =P

Honestly, when Kesler comes back, I wouldn't mind seeing his line more shutdown oriented if Schroder stays on the team. Kesler+Raymond has been a horrible combo since their highest-point season and we will probably end up meshing Lappy/Malhotra in the 4th. Besides, Kes' defensive play is amazing, he'd make a great shutdown line with other two way players like hansen/higgins

Not into toilet humor, at all. Find it to be vulgar.

I'm one of the biggest Lu supporters but that latest tweet re: defecating has me hoping he leaves sooner than later.

What a saucer pass by JS to Raymond on the 5th goal. Pure skill. Loving Kassian's game also.

IF Kesler even gets back. I just don't have much faith in this team going forward if Kesler doesn't come back.

Don't get too excited. We had 9 powerplays and scored on three of them. They had two; and one of them was for five seconds.

We earned each of those powerplays by not being the Nucks of old, diving in response to being pushed around. We stood up to the trolls and they got undisciplined. Refs were on our side because we weren't being little bitches

But how often do you see the power plays so lopsided? Very rarely.

I agree, the guy should be moved and with the way Schneids is playing, and the way some of the teams in the market for goaltending are playing, I get the feeling that MG may look to make a move sooner rather than later.

Post lockout I get the feeling it may be a regular occurrence.

Just look at the LA/EDM game yesterday then our game tonight :P

i dont think the reffing was lopsided as much as it was accurate. aside from edler hitting perry, could have been called one. even though perry acted like a soccer player (pretending to be hurt in order to get a penalty called).
i hope this is a trend away from "game management" style reffing. teams like the ducks run lots of interference and should not benifit from evening up of the scoresheet. the nucks played a fairly clean game tonight and it was reflected in the penalty box. thats how it should be.

3/9 = 33.3 percent i think any team would be happy with this percentage for the pp ya it would of been nice to get a couple more but at that percentage thats a top pp in the league

I concur. I think Gillis is very close to moving him and I REALLY hope this is the case. Roberto made this team a contender. I think Schneider has more upside (younger, handles pressure better, more agile) and the Canucks are now his team to carry. Time for Gillis to do the honourable thing and let Roberto carry another team into the playoffs. (Seriously, Toronto, what the hell are you waiting for? Long contract on star goalie = many years of making the playoffs. What's the issue here?)

And as far as playoff performance goes - if he gets into a situation like Rinne in Nashville/Elliot and Halak in St. Louis where the team can't score their way out of trouble, I think he'll shed his playoff woes (the real and the media-and-fan-created) and be great in every single game.

The thing I like most about tonight is the swagger and nastiness showed by the Canucks. Loved Kassian getting in the Ducks faces, and loved the way Ballard was all smiles after getting jumped by Perry. Loved the physical play of guys like Edler and Hansen. The Ducks are a tough team but we managed to push them around and get them frustrated.

Of note: Bobby Ryan only had 13:33 of ice time. He doesn't kill penalties but wasn't used at all on the PP. All those rumours of him being traded last year and the dissent between him and the organization, you can't think that relationship is very good.

I like Booth's spirit but I really hope he is watching the second line and learning how a good pass is worth any amount of bulldozing up the boards.

If Kesler comes back first and the line is Raymond - Schroeder - Kesler, then I don't see a place for Booth on the 2nd line.

Raymond and Kassian are really proving a lot of people, myself included, what they can do. Great to see them playing well. Ginger with a shutout and Jordan with his first point.. So who keeps that puck :P ?

I would tend to agree with you. Schneider should be the starter here and Luongo ought to be a starter somewhere else.

Great game by the Canucks and great redemption. You thump us in our house, we'll do the same to you.
I'm a pretty big fan of most of our players, though I have been pretty critical of Mason Raymond lately. Kudos to him on a great game and hopefully he'll keep up this high level of play.

By the end of the season our leading goal scorers will be...

Kassian, Raymond, and......D. Sedin??? D. Sedin, do we really need him?

Of course, I kid. Really loving how our secondary scoring is looking even WITHOUT Kes and Booth back yet. :frantic: :frantic: :frantic:

IF Kesler even gets back. I just don't have much faith in this team going forward if Kesler doesn't come back.

Great game. They ruined our home opener, we ruin theres ... revenge is sweet :emot-parrot:

anyways how did may ray not get a star tonight?! Im really impressed with him and i love how everyone who was hating on him like a week ago about his play last year is all turned around from thier previous thoughts on him. Im happy for him but i was always by his side, knew he would come back :towel:

Always will love and support Cody Hodgson, great player, great potential great character, and I don't care about those stupid rumours about the trade. And we lost him, what a dissapointment. Love you COHO, forever a canuck in my heart!

One day Luongo will raise Lord Stanley's cup.
And show all those haters that he is the amazing goalie that he is.
No matter what jersey he wears, I will always be cheering for Luongo.

Forever Believe.
