Could you imagine little Jonny Toes and "The Non Intentional Elbow" Duncan Keith getting their panties all in a bunch if that call went against the hawks? (like it ever would but you get my point).

Columbus has to be the most unlucky hockey franchise. Gotta feel bad for their fans at some point here!

Another controversial call [EDM - CGY]:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=L7udYTCV7GU

This counts as a goal, but Foligno skating through the crease with potentially no contact is waived off. Yikes.

The league likes the story of Chicago going 5-0-0 to start, with Kane saying before the season that he's gonna come out and show how good he really is and blahblahblah.

Plus now it gives Columbus fans excuses why their team sucks to tide them over for another half season.

as a hawks fan...thats a terrible call. there was no contact on crawford.

the only contact i can see, and i am really stretching for something is the CBJ player hitting the glove of crawford..but if that was the reason for calling no-goal, that is total bs

Watch Bowness somehow mess up Tampa Bay's already amazing 2 powerplay units...he'll probably tell Stamkos to do drop passes from centre ice, take him out from the faceoff dot, and place him infront of the goalie

Stinkin' Eastern bias. The refs must have an intercom system with Bettman.

Ref Bob: Hey Frank, that goal actually looked pretty good.

Ref Frank: Yeah, I guess we should give the Jackets the goal...hold on, getting a call from the Boss.

Bettman: Hey guys, Chicago is a good potential hockey market, we can't have them losing games, make sure they win this one.

Ref Frank: Whatever you say, Boss.

Wow, that was absolutely atrocious, how do they call that a non-goal, especially after a review?

The ref made a mistake. The play is non-reviewable. Enough with this conspiracy nonsense already.

How many times did a call like this happened to big USA cities like Chicago, Boston or LA in the last few seasons already?

But sure, lets bury your head in the sand and pretend they are all mistakes and the NHL did not ever favor one of those teams when a call like this was made.

Bad calls happen for and against every team, you just highlight the calls that are relevant to these theories that you've made up. It's a very well-known psychological tendency, we all do it.

No doubt. In the last 8 days I think I've seen everything there is to see out of the NHL. This is going to be a long season after all.

The explanation is ridiculous. He danced around the question, and admits it wasn't a "distinct kicking motion", yet disallowed the goal.
