not schnieders fault our team was a joke tonight. Hell this whole year we have been a joke there is no way we should have lost to the oilers the ducks and the sharks. A major move has to be made soon or we will be left in the dust. MG has to stop being a power hungry arse and just make the move already to help steer our team on track.

No way we should have lost to the sharks?? They are undefeated.... if there are any teams we should be losing to they are one of them. Every team loses to every team. It happens, I`m not worried at all. This team always starts a little slow, plus no one was playing in the offseason. We are first in the devision. It could be much worse.

same old same old against any decent team. Lack of offensive pressure and production puts too much pressure on the D (who played like crap tonight).

Goalie gets hung out to dry on tape-to-tape passes to SJS players in the high slot and the game is over before the 5 minute mark. Then ther's life and the Nucks press but, ops ! Lappy takes a totally stupid and unnecessary penalty and the momentum shifts back to SJS.

If it wasn't for CLowe and his antics, the Nucks wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell tonight.

Well, that was one of those games...... it wasn't completely ugly but you could tell by the 3rd post we didn't have a good shot at things:

The Good -
- Higgins/Burrows/Hansen looks like a good stop-gap line until our injuries woes are gone.
- Schroeder looks pretty decent, he's not going to score 30 goals but looks like he should be there. Would like to see Ebbett scratched upon Manny's return.
- Schneider didn't beat the world but held his composure after a bad start, good to see after Gm #1 against Ana
- Team was sticking up for itself physically

The Bad -
- Powerplay. Really bad. This is starting to become a problem. There needs to be a significant change.
- Team looked unprepared (as usual)
- Our D looks like a core of drunken hobos at the moment, so many up the middle cough ups.
- We lost in a very lop-sided manner, and didn't finish our chances. I know we have a lot of injuries but we have given up a lot of leads already this season, and definitely don't look as dominate as in the past. We had all the PP time in the world to use our top lines offense and they couldn't' get it done.

outplayed for the most part. lack of depth really showed, but the D men are horrendous. Cory had to be great for nux to have a chance, but he wasnt.

Sedins are asleep. Dan had 0 shots on goal.

Remember who we have played so far? This is the first good team and we proved that if you shut down the Sedin's there is nothing else. Best defence pair Tanev and Ballard. Expecting another beat down against LA

Yah we could really use some secondary scoring, where the hell has Higgins been I remember last year he was our best forward at the beginning.

i hope AV wakes up and dresses vandy for games like this.....Clowe owned us and Kass isnt ready, and shouldnt have to fight guys every other night especially the likes of Clowe, one of the leagues toughest.

dressing ebbet over Vandy for tonights game and others like it, is just straight up poor judgement.....hard to feel unintimidated looking down the bench and only seeing Hansen, raymond, schroeder, burr, ebbet, hamhuis, tanev etc.

We are no match against teams like the Sharks, Flyers, Bruins, L.A, St. Louis etc. Teams that are BIG AND TOUGH.
Good news is that we are in the NW division, one of the weakest division in the league! yea!

Edler and Garrison...you guys are defensemen, play some damn defense.
Sedins..where art thou?

Canucks were just not sharp at all this game.

The Canucks HAVE to start getting shots from the point on net when on the PP. They used to be quite successful on the PP when having a forward screen in front while tipping home a shot from the point. They used to score that way more often than not. So far this season their PP has been very passive. Tonights PPs were pathetic.

Once again guys like Weise, Tanev and Raymond are our best players. Some of my favorite guys, but we can't win when our stars don't show up.

Sedins need to start Art Rossin it up.

Edler needs to not be such a bone head.

Garrison needs to hit the damn net.

Hamhuis needs to not suck all the time.

This game shows that the Canucks are some ways off from being a contender in the West. Fortunately, they play in one of the weakest divisions in the league. Sharks dominated in all areas of the game, it wasn't close.

Lets be honest here, this team has no hope in the playoffs the way it is now, even with Kesler and Booth returning.

For sure. Our teams are full of the Ebbets, Raymonds and Schroeders....Big teams love to play against us.

Im getting a little bit concerned about the Sedins... still too early to draw any conclusions but they seem to be taking much much longer to get up to speed and until tonight were really only effective on the PP. Oh and same old problems with this team, not much beyond the top line. Even with Kesler and Booth i wouldn't be satisfyied.

Stay in the hunt and warm up as we get close, good for SJ to peak now lol...they're not going to hold up this pace for 5 months!

Peaking a bit to early there SJ...lol

Flat game for the boys, defense needs to start just playing a simple, smart game and the talent will come through rather than trying to force. Forwards need to start playing with some emotion, providing puck support and moving their legs on the pp.

When you see teams pressuring other teams as hard as opponents have been on the nucks it means one thing. They are reading poor puck support, ie you pressure the guy with the puck with 2 guys, and because others aren't supporting or moving their legs, the puck carrier doesn't have an outlet. Result, turnovers or dumps...its pretty obvious our heads aren't in it...and teams have noticed.

That is coaching, and AV and his staff better start getting these guys mentally ready because right now, we have seen 5 games, all of which the nucks have not come out mentally prepared.

Too be fair we are missing Kesler and Booth which really hurts the size and grit in the top 6, our top 6 isn't really soft

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Booth Kesler Raymond

Half the top 6 are big guys who bring skill and grit, Raymond can be switched with Higgins or Hansen if we need more grit there

I think Hansen was trying to get at Clowe when he went after Burrows, the linesman just happened to be in the way. I hope nothing comes of it..
