No more Edler in the shootouts.

That is all

With Burrows' SO move, it looked like he failed the forehand-backhand move, so he tried that weird spin, behind the back thing.

Holy crap people, that was their 3rd game in three nights, 4th in 6, coming off of 8 months of no hockey.........give them some credit for a playing well enough to get a point. Of course they sat back, it was pretty clear they were exhausted, and LA was at home and fresh. They played a containment game because that's all the gas they had left would allow them to play.

Say it's AV's fault all you want, but he recognized that his team had nothing in the tank and he had them play a style that let LA have the puck a lot, but they stayed pretty disciplined, defensively, and kept them outside from the middle of the first until the last goal. It wasn't pretty and it needed Lu to come up big, but they did get a point........be happy about that.

Lu was excellent.......and Kesler and Booth need to get back, soon.

I sure could see LA trying to take advantage of that. Too bad they couldn't just hold out that extra minute or so.

An improvement from the last game. We get an improvement in the next game and we can be back to planning the parade route :P

They will probably beat Colorado Wednesday and this whole tone will change. It's fun to watch the ups and downs. On Saturday morning there were posts about how this team is better than ever and going to roll over everybody then they have two tough games and it's all doom and gloom again.

So that's 3 games they've given up a lead in the 3rd to go to a shootout. Not too good considering they only played a handful of games

We're a pathetic team for hits. I'd wonder why everyone picks on the Canucks and than I remember we have no intimidation factor. Yeah we have some good hits here and there, but we play teams like San Jose and have useless goons like Clowne screw with us all game....well unless he throws a tantrum but that's beside the point. And we need to learn to fight! However an equilibrium needs to be reached with discipline too.

Was a tough game to watch last night. Also forced to listen to Chris Cuthbert from TSN was simply painful. He hates the canucks and its evident in everything he verbalizes.

Luongo was our best player all night. Hopefully a bit of a rest will help them against Colorado.

Well since AV never appointed a clear cut number 1 for the team.. the goalie that plays great should keep playing till he has a avg or poor game. Schneider with the exception of the 2nd anaheim game have been pretty average/below avg this season.. if every point counts.. just plays whoever's playing better atm

It's pretty sad to see a couple very young players and a "backup" goalie leading this team right now.

And Edler's losing me, I used to be a huge fan, and now all I seem to be doing is sighing at his mistakes. (Along with the other defencemen's)

Luongo proving once again he is the BEST goalie to have in an important game. Shame the team let him down. Absolutely unbelievable game by him. Classic Luongo domination

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

So Luongo is calm. Bieksa is calm. Edler is calm. There in lies part of the problem. They are too relaxed for a 40 game schedule. Luongo needs to hack those guys so they stop bowling him over, or having his own players shove guys on top of him into the net. Of course if you are a puck watching D man then Luongo either gets scored on or falls into his net pushed by someone. Where is the coach? Do they have a coach? It sure looks like a rudderless ship out there and it shouldn't be.

Team still trying to get into game shape. The positives -Kassian continues to show that he is a good fit with the Sedins; Schroeder is an NHL player (even when playing against the biggest teams); Bieksa looked really good; Burrows is improving (don't even mention that ??? shootout), Higgins is on the verge of scoring a goal and Hansen looks better than last year.

They have one more game before facing a hot Chicago team and then four easier games. By the time they play St.Louis, they should be playing well (still without a 2nd line though). They need to win ALL the games against the lesser teams while they're waiting for a SCF second line.

We should at least put Raymond in the shootout. And Burrows, WTF was that move in the shootout. Was not even legal.

The biggest concern for me, right now, is Garrison. So far he's been a train wreck and not nearly the player he was made out to be. Though he's playing on the second pairing, he's at the bottom of the depth list for starting dmen.......by a long shot. That said, I am chalking it up to new team, new partner (who is also playing terribly) and the pressure of playing in front of the hometown

LA is such a bunch of chumps. Look at Doughty diving like a bitch...if a Canuck falls anywhere on the ice it's diving but these guys get a free pass somehow. And Kopitar. And the worst of all, Brown. Not to mention throwing hits on icing and getting away with it a couple times, then whining like little kids when they finally get called on it. And flopping on top of the goalie, it's gonna burn you eventually, you have no right to complain. They get away with so much, nobody calls them on their BS. I'd say teams like SJ and LA get called out for about 30, 40 percent of the crap they pull where we get called out for about 200%.

Didn't get the memo that the NHL is down to a 40 game season.

Bunch of ungrateful whiners. When They miss the playoffs, then whine. Till then, stfu and cheer for a team who blows their load in the first month.

Take the point and go home, 50% on the road in a tight schedule is good.
