Luongo is reportedly starting tonight vs the Avs so who will start Friday in probably our biggest game of the year so far?

McCoy: We were speculating. Is God really out there?
Kirk: Maybe he's not out there, Bones. Maybe he's right here. [points to his heart]

if luongo is average or worse tonight, or the team loses, schneider. if luongo is good or great tonight, and the team wins, luongo.

Then they dont know how to manage a team. if Schneider is there number 1 guy then he should play against a undeafted team which is the hawks.

Enough of the goalie crap screwing up both goalies confifdence and settle the problem already.

Mr money in the bank game 7 over time hero should start.

That was my biased opinion.

My actual opinion is... it depends on how well he plays tonight.

So what happens if Luo gets a 40 save shutout tonight?
The team needs to stick with one philosophy, either keep Schneider as the number one and have him start games the way every other team in the league starts starts their goaile or don't announce anyone as a number one and let the hottest goalie play.

Schnieder's stats against the hawks just said on the team1040: 3-2 GAA above 4. If Luongo plays well tonight, he should get the start. Luongo starting tonight is simply based on him having a good game against LA. None of the showcasing him or because Schnieder is set in stone to start on Fri crap.

If Lu plays great tonight, might as well ride the hot streak. Otherwise, Schniederman.

No one even knows who is number 1 in Vancouver right now although in the 2 games Luongo has been better

The way Schneider is playing at this moment (no consistency) he sure isn't number 1 in my books (but I am a huge Luongo fan)

If Lu starts friday then it most likely means 1 of 2 things.

Someone is seriously interested in him and they're showcasing him

or they got a better offer for Schneider and are trading him instead

Simple, if Luongo plays as he has so far and wins against Colorado it's his game. Schneider can have a less important game to build his confidence back, because these Blackhawks would tear him and our defence apart.

I know it has been said that if Luongo was on the team at the beginning of the year the 2 goalies would fight for the #1 position.
As it stands, Luongo is winning that fight, gotta go with the better goalie....thats Luongo.

I don't ride with the band, I roll with the team.

I've been a Canuck fan since 2004-05 when the team was going through a huge transition phase, missed the playoffs

Lou pitches a shutout tonight and gets the start Friday in the biggest game of the year. Schnieder then tells Gillis he wants out but Lou interjects and says "nu-uuh, I wanted out first so you have to suck it up cupcake, I'm outa here." Schneider's agent has clandestine meeting with Peter Chiarelli professing his client would like to 'come home'. Chiarelli calls Gillis and offers Rask and Marchand for Schneider and Raymond (because Boychuck needs a room mate on the road). The 'new look' Canucks go on to the SCF against the Bruins and lose it in a route in game 7. Fans riot but this time the riot squad makes short work of it with water cannons and a couple, who've decided to show their affection in the middle of Robson street, drown in the excess water. No significant damage to local businesses reported.

True story.

Schnieds has played well outside of game 1. Lu got a crack at LA, Schnieds should get Chi.

I think Schneider will start. Luongo's playing tonight, so it makes sense that Schneider's being rested up for Friday's showdown. Schneider may have had a bit of a shaky start to the season, but he's still the starting goaltender and I'd give him more time to settle down and play as solidly as we know he can.

aside from the first game there's been nothing remotely shaky about Schneider's play.

lol no its a lot of people having a hard time grasping that it isn't Schneider's team just yet....If it was, Luongo would have only played 1 game in 6 so far, if that. After tonight, Lu will have started 3 and Schneider 4, that shows there is no sole number 1 yet.
