I wanna see some good healthy runs at Keith!! Finish your check but STAY CLEAN! We don't want to stoop to their dirty level! I will be so pumped if someone gets Keith to drop the mitts!!!

Hate to say it - don't see the shorthanded Canucks beating a red-hot Blackhawks.

Goaltending has to be beyond standing on his head - whoever it is that gets the start.

Canucks win if goaltending is in God mode, PP clicks, Sedins wake up and defense plays solid.

Also, I predict that one of Bieksa, Volpatti, or Lapierre will fight Keith. Most likely Bieksa. Kassian will not fight him - the size disparity is too big.

Doesn't matter if Keith agrees to the fight, Just drop the gloves and keep Vancouver neurologists employed.

The build-up for this game reminds me of the build-up for the Bruins game with the line brawl last season (?).

The Bruins were tough, skilled and were among the league leaders in points, whereas the Canucks had something to prove (last season they wanted retribution for the Bruins' physical abuse, while Daniel's concussion may bring a sour taste in the Canucks' mouth, plus the team would be facing the Blackhawks with a reduced roster without Kes and Booth-- plus we're underdogs both in terms of scoring ability and due to question marks in the lineup regarding consistency). And that's exactly what they did, they went out, got the monkey off their back and beat the team both physically and on the score sheet. In other words, this could be a statement game for the team against a powerhouse rival.

Now I'm not saying that I expect a line brawl (well maybe?) but Keith should be prepared to get hit, whether by Lapierre, Hansen, Weise, Volpatti (much rather have these Bottom 6 guys with enough speed to catch and hit him consistently) or who knows Kassian could crunch him too (or anyone who tries to touch the Sedins for that matter). Could be a very close and feisty game and I'd expect whichever team trails would be quite motivated by early fireworks to get back into things late in the game. On second thought, I'm really not sure whether it will actually pan out that way against Keith; I mean athletic rivals hold grudges all the time but often the media just hypes it way up due to limited story lines when the players themselves may be over it already.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus LOVES YOU!
2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

I'm calling it here. Kassian with a Gordie Howe hat trick.

Or 2 goals and a fight, this guy doesn't have a single assist and it would be hilarious for this kid to have 30 goals 2 assist and 60PIM.

All i want is a Kassian gordie howe, and a Keith leaving with a few teeth less than whatever he had left remaining.

as much as I'd like us to beat them on the scoring board, I don't think we'll find our scoring touch in this one. 1-3 hawks. as far as PIMs go, we should be right up there in the league.

Lou is the hot goalie but I think Schneider has faster reflexes. Personally I think Corey has the ability to play better against the Hawks snipers

  • Even though the Minnesota Wild hand Chicago Blackhawks their first loss of the season, Blackhawks have almost been unstoppable.
  • Will the Canucks seek retribution from Duncan Keith after knocking Daniel Sedin out with a blatant elbow to the head?
  • In a surprise move coach Alain Vigneault named Roberto Luongo as the starter against the Avalanche coming from another start against the Kings.

That's a scary looking top 6 for Chicago,i hope the Canucks don't try to run and gun with this team, we win if we can exploit the Blackhawks' weaknesses defense and goaltending.

The Sedins are sucking lately because their saving their best for Friday.

Kassian will annihilate Keith with a devastating open ice hit, Seabrook will come to the aid of his boyfriend and gets his ass handed to him.

Bollig tries to be the hero but Volpatti comes out of nowhere to intercept him.

Bieksa finds Bolland and superman punch the rat breaking his nose.

The crowd goes wild and we win 10-0 with Luongo and CS sharing the shutout.

So looking forward to this game, glad I don't have work.
The Hawks have been on fire lately, but I hope the Canucks will be able to hand them their 2nd loss.
Go Canucks!

Although I'm expecting Schneider to start on Friday, I wouldn't be surprised to see Luongo in net again. A win against Chicago could be a huge motivational boost to the Canucks.

4-1 Vancouver. Schneider stands on his head if he starts

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Going to be a very close game. Hard fought, with lots of hitting. I say 2-1 Canucks in regulation. They go down 1-0 early but get two unanswered in the second.

CHI: Hossa
VAN: Edler, Higgins

Luongo starts.

I would be okay with Daniel Sedin throwing a flying Elbow to Duncan Keith's chin. Suspension would be well worth it.

If Kassian sent Keith into next week (cleanly), beat the crap out of whatever goon that went after him, and scored 2 more goals I'd be pretty satisfied ;)

Why? Luongo looked really good on his last shootout.

That may be true... But Kane will pick him apart in the shootout. lol I really want us to win this one and if Kassian or Volpatti happen to exact some revenge on Duncan Keith? Than that would also be acceptable.

EDIT: I have a weird feeling it will be someone unlikely though... Like Hansen or Weise. Bur got into it a little before as well, could see him fight Friday night. Either way, I do hope they focus more on their game as opposed to that! No better way to stick it to them than with a W. B)

"It's an opportunity, we don't look at it as a last chance... We look at it as an opportunity to do something great. We are going to take it period by period, shift by shift. You just have to be better than the guy across from you... Every guy in this locker room I can say believes we can do this." - Ryan Kesler
